This is going to be kind of long, please bare with me..
Me and my boyfriend have been trying to conceive for approx eight months. I havent used any ovulation trackers, mainly because me and him do the deed almost every day, and several times a day and never saw the need to bother with them. He has three children with other woman and they were all one shot wonders. Out of the eight months only maybe four or five we really really tried, doing it every night and every moring and cutting back on coffee and ciigarettes and taking a multivitamin. I ended up going to the gyno for an unrelated matter and found out I had a really bad vaginal infection called Bacterial Vaginosis. Just by looking at it my doctor literally freaked and ran a slew of tests. He expected gonrreah, chylamedia, and even hiv. Upon the results we found out it was just an unusually severe and advanced infection. Also, about three years ago I had an equally severe infection very similair to this one called trichnomois, excpet that WAS an Std and was treated and cured. These infections are not permanent or fatal just annoying and fairly common as far the internet is concerned. Now, I pose this question... A) Has anyone out there had BOTH of these and can assure me that I am not damaged from them..and B) If I had this infection Seven out of the eight months we were trying to conceive is that why I did not become pregnant? C) The only month I didnt have this infection was the immediate month following treatment, before my next cycle, so can I even count that month as a ttc month? Honestly in my heart I just need to know if the reason I havent conceived is because this infection made the ph levels in my vag all wonky and the the moth after treatment I didnt conceive because my body may need another month or two to go back inot the swing of things... Any response is much appreciated... |

I've never had either of these infections, so I can't say one way or the other...have you run a google search on them to see what effect they have on conceiving/asked your doc? There are tests that they can run to take a look and see if there is damage to your uterus/tubes. Try not to worry too much or that will make conception that much harder! Good luck!
