Unhappy New here,Please help!

Hello everyone,
I am 20 years old and have just found out that I have PCOS+ Insuline Resistance. So now thats a bummer because me and my b/f (20) have been together for 5 years now and have been trying to have a baby. I have just started taking metfromin. Iam very worried that I wont be able to have a baby w/o driving myself crazy and being at the doctors eveyother day.Iam sorry if I seem a little slow on this subject before I knew I had it I had never even heard of it. Is this how it goes for most women with PCOS.??? Is their anyone who can have a baby natural without all the shots and whatnot???? Good and bad stories are welcome I can handle it. THANKS

Ladylove, you are in the right place for information (always double check with your RE), support and encouragement. Take care and good luck in your IF journey. My heart goes out to you; you are so young to be contending with IF.

Hi there. Just a good story for you. A friend of mine had pcos and her doctor told her that she would probably never have a baby. She lived with thinking she was never going to have a baby until last year when she got pregnant at 27! She and her bf were not using any protection because they thought she couln't get pregnant. Anyway baby Carter was born this year in February.
Good luck to you.

Kristin

I don't have PCOS, but am young (25) and TTC for around 5 or 6 years. I understand how confusing and complicated it all is....before I started on this journey I never knew all the work it really takes to get our bodies working right! Good luck to you...you have found the best place for support and friendship!

I just wanted to add, as someone who is 25 and been ttc since I was a week over 21, that the saying can sometimes be true. We have time on our side. The fact that you've started metformin now is a good thing. We have someone on this forum (she's kinda MIA right now) who has ovulated and conceived twice thanks to metformin. Unfortunately she's lost both pregnancies but that doesn't mean she's giving up hope. You shouldn't either. There are also great stories of success on here in both IUI and IVF cycles for those with PCOS. The options are out there, there is hope!
