A little insite please!

DH is talking about starting ttc #2 within the next 6 months. With my IUGR and blood pressure issues (which I am still on meds for) I am terrified to try again! Caitlin was in the nicu for 5 days with a feeding tube and I was in the hospital a total of 13 days getting my blood pressure back down! Would this really be feasable, or smart for that matter?

I don't have any experience with IUGR so I'm sorry I can't be of much help in that area.

But I wanted to say WOW, what an exciting thing to think about.

I'd say it's worth a try...you and baby came out beautifully in the end. Is this something that will likely cause problems in the future or is it a random thing that may or may not happen?

It might be something that you and your doctor might want to talk about as far as the meds you are on. Are you ready for #2?? I am sure that your OB will watch you closely this time around. I wish you all the best!!

Kelli, I thought your doctor was pretty against trying on your own again? Maybe I'm thinking of another story but I thought with the IUGR it wasn't highly recommended. For me, and everyone is different, I've already told DH that I don't plan on trying for #2 until #1 is a year old. I want to give my body time to heal, I want to give my son all the time and attention he needs and deserves in that first crucial year. Is Bentley doing better with Caitlin these days?

Kelli,
My Ob told me I can try again when my boy is 1 year old. For you with those issues I am sure you have to take your time and talk not with just one Dr but as many as you can find. No way at 6mo.
