Glad to hear that my post made you giggle.

Bethany, I am going to have to document my tank travel with a photo for sure. It will make a great keepsake in my baby book.

If I can't make it to my RE's office until Monday, is there enough freezing stuff in the tank for two days?

Mindi, you could do a photo shoot like the dwarf they use in the travelocity ad...reminds me of the first time we did an iui and we live way up in the mountains...we kept hitting bumps in the road and i kept worrying about hitting a deer.

Chi good luck with everything!

We're waiting for AF to arrive so we can start on our next cycle of injectibles..I feel like this has been the longest wait although it's only been about three weeks!

Hope everyone has a great weekend....It is finally warming up here in Salt Lake City...around 50...

Mindi - Sorry I didn't get back to you on Friday - I went up to the mountains. (I keep hoping that this year will be the last that I can ski for a while. THIS one will be the year.) I'm sure you've found this out already, but there should be enough in the tank to last until Monday, but you should really ask the cryobank. These tanks get shipped across the country, and lots of people just have to estimate when they're going to need the goods, so to speak, so I imagine the tanks should last at least a few days.

I hope everyone's had a great weekend! B

Emotional rollercoaster s the right word for sure!

Some times I'm in a great mood, have a positive outlook etc.. (most of the time) and then something drastic happens, and I'm completely at the opposite end of the spectrum.

People have good intentions, and mean well, but the don't really undertstand the feelings we have. Especially those with kids I think. Alot of my friends that have kids that are 18+ have said ugly remarks about why I would want to have a kid at my age, and my husband too, because we will be old when he/or she graduates or dead. WHATEVER. Tons of kids lose their parents at a young age, with old age not being the cause.

I don't even tell anyone anymore. Just gonna let my belly tell itself, when it happens.

even though I am doing another cycle with my own eggs, they still gave me the donor profiles to look thru, if this cycle is another failure (I hate to even think that, but it IS a possblity at this point)

There is one that they have picked as a match, and I found a few back up ones also. I hope and pray this cycle works for me. For now, I'm on the estrdiol 3 times a day until beginning of April they will start AF.

J-LYN: I tatally understand the rollercoaster. You are wise to just ignore the "comments"! NOBODY can understand the desire of your heart unless they have shared the same desire. How shallow for someone who has children to deny you the same joy simply because of age. I think also those kind of comments are an indicator of how much (or how little) they value their own kids! You just keep persuing your dream!! I pray this is the cycle that brings you your heart's desire!

J-lyn - I'm so sorry about those hideous comments and how they can throw us off from our optimism, which is work to acheive at this point. It's so frustrating that there are people who can be so callous.

But let me tell you, I just spent the weekend with friends who have a fabulous 7 year old. One parent is 48 and the other is 53. And that kid is a happy, healthy, fantastic guy who will have his parents around for a long long time. He also gets a huge benefit from having parents who are older and wiser. Just a reminder to all of us that, even if our eggs are being a bit crotchety, we're not old!

Shelley,

I am excited for you! It's exciting to hear some good news and share some positive energy in all this madness.

Another month, and you'll get to know the genders, huh?

Hugs

B

bd, wise words.

My husband and I talked about this subject (again) this morning. I told him that I'm getting tired of my own parents' negativity. ("You're too old!"... "You're going to be dead before that child even graduates high school!"... yes, my parents are actually real people, and they're actually that calloused and negative)

Anyhow, my husband said, "How old do you feel?"

I said, "I feel about 23 on the inside. All my vitals and health signs say I'm about 32 on the outside. I'm still active! I can still chase the dogs and get down on the floor and wrestle with a little kid if I went. I just don't have any eggs left."

He held my hands and said, "You are exactly as young as you feel. If you feel 23, that's the YOU that our child will know. This baby is never going to ask to see the age on your driver's license. Our baby is going to know you for whoever you are, inside and out, and that's the woman I fell in love with."

**lump in the throat**

He's so wise for a younger man. No wonder I love him with all my heart.

J-Lyn, I'm sorry that people have made those dumb remarks to you. As Kay said, it might show how much (or little) they value their own kids. When you think about it, how many people do you know who had kids on a lark, or because that's what we're "supposed to do", or for whatever reason it happens... And the next thing you know, they're acting like they absolutely can't wait to ship those kids off to college and get them out of the house so they can have their "freedom" again? I think that's the biggest indicator in the world.

I LOVE to hear about people expanding their families, or starting their families, or just enjoying the families they have. I can't think of anything greater. If I were one of your friends, I'd be the one already planning a baby shower for you!!

But not everyone thinks it's great. Oh well. As you said, "WHATEVER".

Someone here posted a link to a site for moms over 40, and on it, the woman/site owner gave one of the finest comebacks I've seen.

Question: "Why on earth would you want to have a baby at your age???"

Answer: "For the very same reason anyone would want to have a baby at any age."

Any questions beyond that are just rudeness.

My Beta Update

Ladies, It's an official for me. well it was no surprise to me although I still had some hopes for a positive result at the last minute. My RE wanted to set up a consult so I did and we're meeting her again on the 31st. we would definitely go for another IVF (round 6) or maybe do an FET. But DH and I decided to take a break and just try Au naturale in the next 4 or 5 months I've decided to focus on gettting back in shape and enjoy the outdoors for a while.

I'm still keeping the faith that our turn is coming soon.
