Mindi, I second Tamar -- it's a good thing they found it now, certainly rather than later. Imagine if you'd already been pregnant what complications might arise. This way you can take care of the situation and get past it. And huzzah! that it's benign. Spend this month healing and taking extra special care of yourself... and plan on approaching your baby's conception with wonderful health and complete enthusiasm. My prayers are with you.

Tamar, I want to know about the bodom thing too. My house is going to smell empty in the mornings without a pot of coffee brewing.

Hi everyone!
I kind of come in and out of this forum. Just wanted to say hello and good luck to everyone. Mindi, I definitely admire your attitude. Good luck with a January baby!

We are doing superovulation with bravelle this month and have 4 follies that are maturing enough to release, with several smaller ones that are not big enough. My RE said it will likely be Wednesday when we will do IUI.

BTW, I quit caffeine about a week and a half ago. It is not the most fun thing, but I found some really good decaf at Whole Foods and am drinking herbal teas.

ciao!

Tamar, for good results for your follies today!

Lots of good news on my front: Dad is GREAT! They worked their cardiac miracles and he's up and around and sounding fantastic with hopes of being out of the hospital in another day or so. Prayers do work! (Thank you to everyone who added theirs) I won't be flying out to CA for at least another week, if at all. In fact, as well as he's doing, we may not see him at all until he flies back here to visit NC (as previously planned) in the beginning of April. I am so relieved.

Next good news: My husband's semen analysis came back. He's got 85,000,000 on his swim team, great mobility and average morphology... so they said he's good to go. I told him to tell his boys to suit up, they've got an important swim meet in a month or so. The trophy is a baby.

Just wanted to pop in and tell you all hello! I've had family in town for the last week so I had to share my computer LOL and been busy entertaining. You know how that is.

I feel like a total fatty on this estrogen pills. I've gained 10 pounds and I am heavier than I've ever been in my life. My boobs are huge too.. Not that hubby minds that.

Is anyone doing anything tricky or extra to keep weight down, or is anyone else having this semi- problem? good lord, you'd think I'm pregant already, and I'd be grateful for the weight if that was the case. I got some cute spring dresses that kindof hide the bulges for now. and they can double for maternity wear down the road as well.

Hugs

Janet

Lia- great news on all fronts.... your dad and DH's SA! You are well on your way to a BFP!

J-Lyn- I didn't gain that much weight during IF. I bet mostly what your are seeing is a water gain. Are you drinking tons of water? That might help to flush out some extra fluids.

I am pleased to announce I feel officially All three of my Betas have more than doubled in the 48 hour period and I am now waiting for my first u/s (27th of March). I am so happy. I realize that something can still go wrong, but right now I am claiming I AM PREGNANT.
Today I ran into a gal I graduated from high school with. She had a very new baby strapped to her chest. It gave me a good feeling I am not the only "older" mom out there. We didn't get to talk, but it was an encouragement to just see that

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for the well wishes.

Good news. The cyst on my brain is nothing. I was born with it and had nothing to do with the muscle tremors.

I met a wonderful neurologist today who took a thourough history, including my meds, and came up with the conclusion that my body was having a reverse reaction to a medication that I had been taking these past 7 years to prevent anxiety.

She put me on another medication to subside the tremors and to wean me off of the aniexty med. Apparently, I no longer need it. It is also something I was going to get off of as soon as I got a BFP.

I took the med she prescribed me and I feel great.

I have come to the conclusion that the HSG may have shocked my system somehow. Even though my RE said he never heard of anyone having any side effects from having an HSG. Well, I guess I was the first.

Well, TG it was temporary. The Universe works in mysterious ways. This was surely all meant to happen before I became pregnant.

I am still on my way to ttc.

I am very sleepy and am off to bed now. I will catch up on your posts tomorrow.

Mindi

Hi everyone! I just finished off 9 days of travelling - some for fun, some for work, and I'm just so relieved to be home for the next month.

Lia - I'm so glad your father's doing so well. What a scare, though. And fantastic news on DH's olympic swimmers!

Mindy - I'm glad your doctor was able to explain what was going on and that it all seems under control. You must be so, so relieved. And it's great that he's going to help you wean off of the anxiety meds before ttc. I imagine it could get complex after you've got the hormones screaming through your system.

OK, to the coffee-addicts, I'm with you. I've now been officially off caffeinated coffee for months, but it's been the hardest part of turning my body over to ttc. I actually attribute my weight gain to quitting the caffeine (it's probably more likely the stress of IF, but I'd rather think that the caffeine was a medical necessity ). I keep thinking just one cup couldn't hurt. But then I convince myself that, if I can go through caffeine withdrawal, ****it my body can get pregnant!

Kay - I'm so so glad that you're feeling confidently preggers. You should with those numbers!

As for me, I'm finally feeling like I'm on my way with this cycle. Our donor started her stims on Saturday, we've officially started the estrogen shots (counteracting the evil lupron coursing through my veins), and the ER is likely next Wednesday. I'm now in that excited/numb phase where I just can't believe we're on our way!!!

I hope everyone's having a good week! B

Bethany, welcome back!! I hape you were able to relax some while you were away! You need to prepare to be soon!! If your donor is stimming right now than your BFP is right around the corner. I'm glad you are having some relief from the horrible Lupron.

Thanks, Kay. Yes, it feels right around the corner.

Hey, something for my fellow 39/40 year olds (Faith, Michelle, I think some others) - apparently for those of us who were born in the year of the monkey (approx 1968), this is OUR year. My coworker (who just got a BFP after her first IVF) told me that our Chinese horoscope tells us that we're going to have to work at it not to get pregnant sometime this year. I'm not one to follow horoscopes, but this one I'll take!

Multiply, monkeys, multiply!

Tamar -- that's fantastic news that you have a lot of follicles growing. I'll keep praying that you get plenty of gorgeous eggs, ripe and ready to become babies, out of this batch. Stay excited, your BFP is right around the corner!!!

Mindi -- that is really good news and I'm glad to hear it. You're right, the universe and God really does work in mysterious ways. Let's keep the mysteries going, eh?

Kay -- I'm going to re-question you with Faith's question (because I enjoyed it so much): Have you started shopping for maternity clothes yet? heh heh heh I'm so completely happy for you I could still bust at the seams. Woooot! Are you peeking at possible nurseries? Are you daydreaming of twins?

Janet -- you're whole idea of buying dresses that can "double as maternity dresses down the line" tells me you're going to end up pregnant sooner rather than later. There's just something about declaring it and making plans for it that seems to bring it into being. What a great attitude.

Bethany -- Welcome back! Remember: Lupron isn't evil if it gets your body where it needs to go. (Remember also: I'm able to say this with a confident and reassuring smile only because I don't have to go on Lupron and will never know the ravages of it's wicked presence in my own body.)

Yes, multiply you monkeys, multiply.

We oxen, (I'm probably the only one here), are a little slower, but we're sure to get the job done too.
