It is an official . I knew it already .... but it is stil hard to hear.
We have out follow tomorrow am, I am ready to hear what she has to say, but unless there is a freebie cycle in there somewhere, this is it for us.
We just may wait awhile and adopt.

Well, I went in for first u/s today. We have a fetal pole and a yolk sac but not a heartbeat yet. My RE said this is consistent with where we are in weeks and all looks normal. We are going back on Friday for another u/s to see if there is a heartbeat. He said if there isn't then, we will wait until Monday. If there isn't one on Monday, he said that is not good news.

I feel fine with this and am keeping positive.

I'm behind on my update. So, here how things stand.
I am in the 2ww period. I had my b2b IUIs this past Friday and Saturday. Everything went very well. I was more crampy after the first IUI as it was hard for my RE (the partner) to get the catheter in, but he did the job. Then my RE did the second IUI on Saturday. It was a breeze. No cramps, but I was very tired and my uterus felt like there was a brick in there. I ended up taking a 3 hour nap.

Sunday I started prometrium at 100mg taken 3x a day. I feel a heaviness in my abdomin and just a tad bit of dizziness and of course plain old tired. I don't know what to expect during these next 2 weeks, but I am going to go with the flow and keep positive that my little zygote is traveling down my fallopian tube and that my uterus lining is thickening perfectly.

I'm sorry to hear about those of you who recently had . As hard as it is to stay positive at this time it is imperative that you do. The mind and body need to be in unison to accept and create a healthy embryo.

to all of us 40+ ttc

Michelle, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. But... I don't know. Do you ever have the feeling that something -- SOMETHING -- will work out? Some door is just going to open, even though you can't see it yet. Prayers for you, that you find that door soon. (((hugs)))

Marilyn -- prayers for you too. A nice, strong, ticker-rabbit heartbeat in there. Grow little baby, grow strong.

Mindi -- hurray!! Or...arrggh! (I don't envy you the 2ww). Calmness and peace for you, and a little one moving smoothly and effortlessly to find a home to snuggle into.

Kay -- Hello!!

I'm still waiting to hear about a donor for us. No news yet. I know she's coming, I know she's out there. Who knows... Maybe we're harder to match than we thought? Sheesh, just two typical caucasion people.

I figure God has it all timed out perfectly. It seems that the more I've been doing -- to keep active, to take my mind off things, and to try to get life in order before pregnancy and baby -- the more things come up that need taking care of. Maybe God's giving me this chance to get it all done? I know there's a plan in there somewhere.

How are you feeling these days? Any little wigglings yet? Is the morning sickness any better?

Lia- You are right, there is a plan and it is perfect for YOU! I really admire your patience. Once things get rolling it will go by very fast.
I am feeling okay. Today was the first day the queazies didn't run my day. I got out, went grocery dhopping, did some housework and cooked dinner. This is more than I have been able to do in several weeks.
I have my first OB apt on Thurs. I also get to stop patches and PIO. All of which I am really looking forward to.
You continue to fill your time preparing for pg and a baby.... your time is coming soon.
