Kay, thanks for keeping track of all of us...

Well here I am 2 days before I take my HPT but I don't feel pregnant. I am really trying to stay positive but also trying to be realistic that it may not happen the first time

Wow it is great to see this thread so busy.

Kay I love the list you made it makes it easier to remember everyone!! You must be getting really excited about your DE transfer this month!! I have a really good feeling about it.

Welcome Babycowlover, theresa and Faith08!! Good to see you here Gemmabean!

Taka, good luck with your hpt in a couple of days! I will be praying for a BFP!!! Do you get a beta by your Dr?

Theresa there are a lot of positive things about using an ED! Although it costs more, the success rate is higher and you will most likely be successful the first try!! Good luck with your process and keep us posted!!

Faith, I have never heard of or used that fertility blend but I do think it is a good idea to take one. Some people think it is a waste of money but I figure I am not 20 something anymore, my ol' body has been through a lot and I am a picky eater. My DH and I started taking a fertility blend (entire treatment) about 9 months ago. I also added the protein powder since I became pg. Welcome to East West Essentials

Good luck girls! Hope everyone is doing well.

Tamar- The sait is alsmost over. for your BFP!! It is very normal to not feel pg at this point. Most people don't. Just keep the faith. I can't wait to hear your news.

Babysteps- I am getting excited about our ET. My donor should start stimming this next week. This is her last donation after a very "fruitful" donor career. I hope everything is good for her.
How are you feeling. Tell us some of your experiences carrying triplets. Do you have m/s? Are you showing? How often will you have to see the dr? I am so curious. You are an inspration to me. I am going to transfer two and we are really hoping to have twins, but one would be okay by me too

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.

I started AF today so the plan is that tomorrow I'll go to the RE for a pregnancy test (wouldn't that be a miracle if it were positive - ha!) and then complete a mock cycle with Del Estrogen then the lovely PIO (Yuck). Both shots are IM so I guess my butt is going to be pretty sore again Around day 15 I go in for a lining check and then around day 25 I go for a mock ET and an endometrial biopsy. I assume all of this is to ensure that my lining does what it should!

I guess after this mock cycle we'll then have to meet with a social worker (part of the protocol with my RE) then we can get down to business. Not sure how long then the process will take but to be honest, I'm just so resentful that once again we find ourselves "planning" our life around trying to conceive. I hope I don't sound resentful but after 6+ years I'm just tired of trying to plan and just wish that we didn't have all these troubles. One of the complicating factors for me is that I travel for work. It becomes challenging and stressful when I need to make a business trip but have to work it around the "unknown" demands that IF presents. In addition, we really aren't planning on telling anyone about this attempt or that we're going the DE route and that gets complicated this month since we have family visiting on Day 15 of this cycle so I'm going to need to come up with good excuse/fib as to why I need to leave and be gone for 5+ hours (my RE's office is a little over 2 hours away so that adds to the complexity of the situation) - Arrrggghhhh. I don't want to not be truthful but I also don't want the pressure of everyone knowing everything that we're doing and wanting updates - I know it's because they care but the pressure of disappointing everyone was just too much with our first 2 cycles. Our last IVF cycle we also kept to ourselves until we got the BFP and I know that it helped me stay more relaxed and focused ... now if I could have just done this 10 years ago that little embryo might have had a better chance of making it the entire 9 months but I guess that is one of the downfalls of being 40+.

I just need to focus on the end result and if all goes well, next year I'll be planning a leave of absence for maternity leave and then we can put all this behind us ... that is the type of planning that I'd really like to focus on.

OK, I'll hop off my soapbox now! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Theresa

Theresa- I am so glad you have a plan. It is always easier for me when I know I am moving forward. I am sorry there are some complications in your plan, like work travel and company. The process of IF is so difficult. I know what you mean about being resentful. I have been there for too long! It is time for the process baby loving to begin!!
We aren't telling anyone about this either. I am tired of the drama. At least this way only DH and I have to deal with it. I don't have to explain everything and if things don't work out we don't have to deal with the akward sympathy attempts.
I will be for you in this process. Before you know it you will be ready for your ET and then get your BFP and all this will be worth it. We IF ladies are troopers and the hard work will pay off. Keep on keeping on!!
Kay

Hi all. Just popping in.

Theresa - I completely and totally hear you regarding being frustrated about planning. I can't believe how many times over the past 2 years my planning has been around doctor's appointments, shots, delivering frozen sperm from storage to the doctor, IVF, ultrasounds, etc. I used to really enjoy "planning," but since I've lost the control over this process, I've lost some of that energy, and pretty much all of the excitement. Which I feel like we need a little of to keep going. Now I'm just riding on hope. When I can muster it. So, please, complain away. It makes me at least feel less like a freak for complaining about it all myself.

Also, Theresa, you and I must be on some freaky wavelength, because I got AF today as well. Let's just use some of that coincidence to bring on pregnancies in both of our lives sometime soon!

Faith - I have a couple of friends who have tried the fertility blend. One swears by it, the other felt like it messed with her cycles. But between them they've had 3 kids, so it may be worth trying. Personally I've tried to avoid taking anything, including the herbs my acupuncturist keeps trying to push on me. I feel like there are so many things impacting our bodies right now, the less "noise" in the mix the better.

Kay - Thanks for making the list. BTW, my name is Bethany (or B). I realized soon after creating a screenname here that using my initials on this site was maybe a mistake - BD. But it's also pleasantly ironic, since, because no male partner here, we're among the very few that haven't actually gone down the good ol' BD route to get pregnant!

Tamar - Good luck with your test tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend! Bethany

hi Guys, just checking in..

Theresa, I can so relate about the frustrations you are feeling. I travel alot for work and it is so hard to try to schedule things around when you "think" things are going to happen. I have just made the decision that my life comes first over work. I was just thinking about it..... It would be so awesome to not have to work during this time, but on the other hand my company is where we are insuranced through and they fortunately have excellent fertility benefits...

Have a great night all!

Is everyone having a good weekend? Last night Dh and I went to a dance. It was so fun. Some friends rented a hall and several people put a dance list on their iPods, hooked them up to speakers and we all danced the night away. The songs were from the 70's, 80's and 90's. It was a blast. Many people were talking about how old we had gotten. I just laughed and thought next time you see me I am going to be pregnant. I sure don't feel old!!

Kay, your donor sounds like a good one and you are lucky to be able to use her before she retires. I am getting excited about your ET too!!! I have a really good feeling about it. So far I feel really good. I don't feel as pg as I am. I am always tired, thirsty and really hungry in the mornings. My pants are tight so I have been wearing a lot of stretchy pants. I am relly lucky that I have not had any m/s. Sometimes if I begin to feel tired and yucky I sit down for a few minutes.

Theresa, good luck with your planning and explaining time off work. It is a tough one, just go with your heart and allow yourself to be selfish and take the time you need. is there anyway you can explain to your boss inconfidence so that they will understand your time off? t I will be less stressful if your work is supportive.

IVf is a big commitment and you may have to make some sacrifices. Good luck girls. It is a tough process but well worth it.

Taka, good luck with you HPT !!!!

A visit from Aunt FLo

Hi Guys, I started my period today. I am pretty bummed. I thought it was spotting but now know that it's AF full blown. I am a little confused because I thought that since I was taking the Prometrium it would make me not get a period. Anyway, I am glad that it happened so that I can at least get started on the next phase. My husband sort of helped me make sense of it..He said, remember the RE said that we only had about a 15% chance per cycle..I guess when I look at it like that it makes more sense....this is a process and not necessarily going to happen right away. I guess my next question is should we do the Super OV treatement with the IUI another time or go right into IVF. I am planning to call the Doc in the morning. I want to thank all of you for your support. The wonderful thing about this site is that I can get my feelings out, talk about things with you gals who are going throught the same thing. I am trying to stay positive with my husband, I think that it is hard for him to see me stressed about this. I'll let you all know how the call with my doc goes..

Tamar- I am so sorry to hear about your BFN. I love your attitude though! Your DH sounds like a very supportive and smart man. You are right it is a process. Keep trying...... you'll see those double pinks I just know it! Please let us know what the DR says. We'll be right here you on for your next cycle. Do something nice for yourself and DH this week. I'll pray for your peace and encouragement for your next cycle.

Babysteps- I am so glad to hear you are feeling so good. i'll that continues for you. Anything happening with you this week as far as apts or anything? Rest whenever you can! You are entitled to relaxing. A lot is going on in that body of yours! Enjoy every minute, which I'm sure you will.
Thanks for all the positive feelings for our ET. With every shot and every patch every day we are closer. I am so anticipating everything. The 2ww is going to be hard, but during that whole time I will be pregnant unless proven otherwise. I will hold onto that.
Have a great week!
Kay

I agree! Going for decafs would be really nice. Well I'm sending cyber hugs instead. You hang in there. I know it takes some time to get over the disapointment.
