Janet - I'm happy the one fertilized. Yes it does sounds strange that he would want to save the frozen one for a backup. Why would he not want to transfer both, it does not make sense to me. I would definately question that. Especially that your lining is all ready for the transfer. Your chances are greater with 2. If it were me, I would insist on it. Otherwise you are going to have to do a whole round of meds again for 1 embryo. Let me know what happens. I'm praying for you.

Tamar - I'm glad you already have your next cycle planned. It will be nice for you to take the month off with no meds. Who knows what can happen!

Marilyn - I'm doing good. I can not believe I'm already 10 weeks. I had been getting m/s the past few weeks. I stopped my shots on Thurs so I hoping that had something to do with it. I'm starting to feel a little better. Your moving to Singapore, that is exciting. It is a job transfer or do you have family there? I see you mentioned that IVF was cheaper there. Does that mean you will try again if your report comes back ok? I hope so and I pray you get the baby you so much deserve.
Have a great night!

Lia,

I'm so excited for you! I know you mut be in complete bliss to finally be starting!

Marissa, glad you are getting over morning sickness!

ladies, I got my update late tonight, that my 1 embie is at 4 cells, I don't know what it's supposed to be at his stage? He also said that a few of the cells look fragmented, so we will see waht happens over the next few days.
My next update is Wednesday and if my little one is still dividing, do a transfer on Thurs.

I'm kindof frustrated because I called the IVF nurse very early this morning, to ask about why we aren't thawing the other embie, and she said she would get back to me on it, but still in info in the message got tonight. I was busy at work so I didn't get to speak to anyone directly.

Two good things I am taking away from today, are,
my embie is still here. Not bad news.

The other thing is that my neice (she's 28) called to check on our baby, and she said that if none of my eggs make it, she will be my egg donor! OMG. I never asked her, but when they suggested the possibilty of DE, she said she feels like she is the closest possible match to me, but she just cant do it, and I told her that's ok, I would never hold that against her, any donor match would be fine with me. Still gonna be my baby, anyway.

My sister and two of my best friends offered me their eggs too, but my doctor said no to anyone 37 or "older" for DE. I don't know if that's waht we'll choose to do, but I was happy when she told me tonight.

So it looks at this point, that I'm probably not going to get both embies transfered. The nurse said they would have had to thaw the other one Saturday, and that maybe he was thinking it's a frozen blast, not 2 pn... again, im kindof upset. I'm trying to understand, but I just don't get it. I'm going to cal tomorrow again, so I get things understood of what we we are doing.

hugs to you all, as always,

Janet

Lia, I am so excited for you! It is finally happening..you have been waiting for a while! What is your donor like?

Marissa, What's it like being pregnant again? how are you feeling?

Janet, I am glad that one of you little guys made it..I will keep my fingers crossed that thing go well! Also, how wonderful that your niece has made that offer...hopefully you won't have to take her up on it, but it's neat to know that she is willing. My twin sister offered her eggs too...I laughed and said "Julie, your eggs are the same age as mine"....All of my nieces are under the age of 14, so that would not be possible.

Hi Ladies!

It's been a while since my last post. I see that there is a lot of progress happening for us 40 somethings

Lia, Congrats on you having a donor Please pop in and keep us informed on everything.

Marissa, I can't believe you are entering your 3rd trimester.

I am offically back in this month. I started 100mg of clomid on Saturday, and last night I took my first shot of 150iu of Menpour. I go in for my follie u/s on Friday. I will most likely get my Menopur increased and then will shoot for my IUI next week around the 11 or 12

Janet, Good luck with your ET. I hope this one little eggie does the trick. Remember, it only takes one egg and one sperm to make a baby.

Today the Dr called and said that my little one is 'mergin together" compacting... he said that it's waht it does before blastocyst. So he will call in the am and tell me to come at 2 pm for transfer if it makes it. He said maybe 30 percent don't make it.

He said that this one looked better than my other one, but I still think there was a mix up not thawing the one. Theres no way they wouldnt transfer two, don't you think?

Oh well, I don't care. If this one sticks, I'm blessed.

If not. I have more meds to go thru. ~~

I'm so excited I can't stand it.

Hugs

Janet

Tamar - I still can't believe I'm pregnant. It is alot different from my first one. I had no m/s at all with him. This time I have been nauseas but luckily have not puked.I had also been very light headed but now that I stopped the shots that is going away.
July/Aug will be here before you know it. I can wait for you to start your cycle. I hope you get the baby you so much deserve.

OK Mindi - I'm only entering my 2nd trimester, I wish it was the third! I see you started your cycle. Keep us updated on how it is going. I'm for you.

Janet - I heard compacting is a good thing. Good luck with your transfer tomorrow. I'll be for you too!

Janet - Just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and my fingers are crossed for you to be able to transfer your little one tomorrow. I'm sorry your dr's office is being so annoying about your frozen embryo. But I'm hoping the one you'll transfer tomorrow will do the trick. B

I am excited, but also nervous.
How did you decide how many embies to transfer? I think my dr. wants to do two. I know she will not do more than this. My donor has had great results (several twins).
Babysteps- Congrats on your triplets! You must be so excited. Are you feeling well? I will be so interested in watching your progress and seeing pictures of those three dear ones when they are born!

Tamar- I can't wait to see your BFP announcement soon. I hope your two week wait is filled with peace!

hi shelley, I am new to this forum. Congratulations to your pregnancy! I had an IVF done Sept 07 end with no heart beat on 8 weeks scan. Just had FET done last tuesday, my dr. requested me to have a bhcg test in day 9 after FET; negative. Do you know how many days should be accurate?

I know it is too soon to freak out, but I got a call from the Dr this morning, and not the call I wanted to hear.

He said baby a (not the frozen one, still frozen!) is not yet a blast, and doesn't "look" chromosomely normal. He said it looks fragmented, and we will wait til tomorrow I have an appt at noon, to see if it "arrests" or to do a transfer.

I am freaking out. On one hand, I'm pissed that they didn't thaw my other one. eeven if worst case, neither take... then I can move on to DE if I can find the financing.

On the other hand, I kow I still have the one, but still going thru all this for even longer and then more PIO shots etc. You guys get the picture.

bd711-- I've been following your progress, and sooo happy your coming along nicley!
and Marissa-- I was so happy yesterday when he said compacting... then now a let down. Shoot I hate this roller coaster.
Mindi, Thanks for the inspiring words too. Keeping my fingers crossed that poitive thoughts is all I can do right now.

Hugs

Janet
