This is my first post. Has anyone else been to see an acupuncturist specializing in fertility?

I have been going for the past month, 2X per week (8 sessions). At my last session, (approx. 1 week after ovulation,) she told me that it was early but that I was pregnant with a baby boy (she had checked my pulse). She said the next week would be critical and that the egg would be implanting itself so things could still go wrong but that it was a good sign.

yesterday I got what looks like my period but it could be spotting. It was only 1 week after Ovulation.

What does spotting after implantation look like? How much is there? colour etc? How do I know if it is my period or just spotting?

this spotting is unusual as it is only 1 week after ovulation (my periods are always 14 days after ovulation but I have a period cycle of 43 days)

I saw an acupuncturist before I got pregnant as well as throughout my pregnancy. I would be weary of her saying she can tell you are pregnant and that it is a boy just by your pulse. I have heard of some acupuncturists saying ridiculous things to woman who struggle with fertility and getting their hopes up. I do not believe that they can tell those things from your pulses.

But I did spot the day that my period was due and for three days on. The spotting did stop and then returned a week later. I spotted for another two weeks or so before the spotting ended for good.

I am a strong believer that acupuncture helped me get pregnant but I think that you also have to be skeptical of some of the things they say. I believe that it helped decrease my stress and anxiety which then helped me get pregnant.
