Acupuncture Success Rates

We have several studies posted to our website regarding the success of using acupuncture for fertility problems. They may be accessed at www.totalwellnesscentre.ca/infertility.html

We run a busy TCM clinic in Toronto, Canada, and have had a lot of success helping women carry healthy babies to term.

If you want to reach us, either browse to our website above, or call us at 416-532-9094.

Thank you,

Angela Fu

I've heard that some women have luck with acupuncture. I find that really neat because it's a practice that is ancient. I personally don't know if I'd be interested because a lot of infertility treatments involve a number of needles. Then, to have acupuncture on top of it... Are the acupuncture needles painful??

I am currently going though acupuncture and it's a wonderful support.....it's practically painless, even when sensitive and raging on estrogen...highly recommend it.

Success with accupuncture after 4th IVF!

The accupuncture was KEY in our success!! I never knew how wonderful it could be. If you're in Massachusetts, I'd reccommend Whole Person Health in Stoughton. A friend who went thru 2 IVF treatments went there, and was successful after her first round of accupuncture. Another friend, who was told after 5 miscarriages she could never get pregnant, went there too and just had a baby boy!! She had recommended this place, and I personally think it was a main reason it worked!! I saw Sue Harris who gave me the schedule of when I should go. I had also suffered 2 miscarriages, so not only do I think accupuncture helped me to GET pregnant, but the treatments after transfer helped me STAY pregnant.

Whereever you go, give accupunctre a shot! It's been around for 3,000 years, so obviously it works!! The premise is that it increases proper blood flow in the body. It didn't hurt at all, and was the most relaxing part of my week!! One thing to note is that treatments should start two or three months before your next treatment, to get the best results. I went once a week, then more often the week OF transfer and the week AFTER transfer. It was sooo relaxing, I never missed an appt!!

Good luck!

Accupuncture Rocks!

It doesn't hurt and makes you feel great! I have been going once a week for the past three months and I feel great! We had ET on 9/10/06 and now are waiting for our on 9/22/06.

The needles are NOTHING like the injections you take. And you feel relaxed and carefree when it is over.

Good Luck

More about acupuncture

Generally acupuncture does not hurt. The needle used is very thin. Some points can be tender however. We find that many of our patients dose off during treatment, and leave the clinic after treatmens feeling relaxed.

We have a page that explains exactly what to expect during treatment. It may be accesssed at http://www.totalwellnesscentre.ca/acupuncture.html However, each patient experiences the treatment differently.

We are always available to answer questions via email at angela@totalwellnesscentre.ca
