Acupunture success story
Hello All! Just thought I'd share an inspiring acupuncture story I heard yesterday from my chiropractor. She is now 40 and has a 16 month old dd after starting out with an FSH level of 21.9. She said that she was determined to prove the RE's wrong when one told her she had a 1% chance of conceiving on her own without donor eggs, and the other that her egg quality was only as good as her highest FSH. Well she had been going to acupuncture twice a week and taking herbs for 3-4 months and lowered her FSH to 6! Then she went on to conceive naturally and has sent pictures of her dd to both RE's here! She firmly believes that without the acupuncture it would not have happened.
Now if only I could be so lucky!

Went ahead with only 2 follies 10/06 BFP ended in chemical pg.  Poor response to meds: Tried acupuncture and herbs for 1 year

Me--42 DH--53  together 16 yrs 4 SS 1st IVF 12/07 1 frozen and "banked" 2nd IVF 01/2008 2/08-4-08 cysts/cycles cancelled IVF #3 5/30/08 2 eggs/no transfer 6.08 my frostie from Dec cycle... didn't make to blast, no transfer. 6/30/08 waiting to start DE cycle when $$ available 6/08-11/15/08 on a break, AF WAY off track since IVF (doesn't feel like 5 months!)

I love that story! I am on week 5 of my accupuncture treatment. Should be able to take a HPT this weekend! Wish me luck!

I definately hope this is true. I've been reading and following the suggestions in Randine Lewis's book The Infertility Cure, plus seeing an accupuncturist for the last 3 months. I finally got my DH to start going and so we're praying this will work instead of doing round 3 of IVF. Please, please, please!!

me (sharon): 39, diminished ovarian reserve dh: 35, recovering from pituitary adenoma which was removed in Dec. 07. Motility doubled in 6 months post surgery!  two dogs, Maddie & Reynattc: 20 mos. 1st IVF 10/15/07: started 75ml Repronex and 150ml Follistim 10/19/07: u/s showed 7 follicles on left and 3 on right; estradiol level good 10/26/07: ER, 6 eggs 10/27/07: 3 fertilized (ICSI & AH) 10/28/07: ET 2 4-cell grade A embryos transferred 11/13 Beta BFN 2nd IVF 1/108: start estradiol patches 1/6/08: AF 1/7/08: u/s showed 9 antral follicles, 2 on R and 7 on L. Started 150ml Repronex and 300ml Follistim 1/20/08: only 2 eggs from ER 1/22/08: ET one 2-cell embryo 2/6/08: beta BFN 04/08 -- BFP naturally! 4/28/08 -- M/C at 7 weeks 5 days Still hoping for it to happen the old-fashioned way...

I love success stories like this!!
pinylove - so glad you finally got your BFP!!! And it is encouraging for women thinking of doing accupuncture!! That could have been the ticket for you and maybe others as well!

We're expecting our miracle to happpen very soon! This IF is ONLY temporary. We will overcome this successfully and bring an end to it very soon. In Jesus Name!
