IVF in mid April, acupunc now or wait?
you have all twisted my arm and I think I'm gonna try it! I found a place and it is $60 per session. I am still 5-6 weeks away from my ER and ET date. I have limited $$ (enough for 8-10 sessions) for this so should I start going a few times now and spread it out or go several times right around Stimming/ER/ET? what would you do? Thanks so much guys

I am fairly new to acupuncture, but from what I have read, they would prefer for you to start acupuncture 3 months before IVF. If it were me, I would start now, then get their recommendation as to what they feel you need to do around the procedure.

I would start now too. My acupuncturist does electrostimulation to help blood flow and she likes to hae about 6 sessions before the ER (you can't do it after) for maximized results. And it can be done within 3 months before IVF. Go give it a try. You will like it! Go in with a positive attitude (regardless of how weird this kind of thing is to you...it was for me!) and try relaxing. Once the needles are in, it is pretty relaxing.

Hey - I went to my first acupuncture appt today. He said I had Low energy flow throughout my body
 he put 8 in my belly, 1 on each shin, 1 in each wrist, 1 on my head, 1 in each ear and 3 in my back. He put some hot stick thing (looked like a crayon) and warmed up the needles. It was very nice. He gave me grape seed extract to take twice a day to get my energy flow up. woohoo! I will go twice a week up until ER/ET. it was very nice and relaxing...zzzzzzzzzz
