So am I...lol...I went again today and took a nice little nap on the table..no on believes me that it is relaxing but it is and man are they missing out...I will stick with acup. even after my IVF!!!

If the needle is uncomfortable you should ask them to take it out...you can't relax that way...I usually fall asleep and my acup. specializes in fertility (or lack thereof) and she plays a cd of guided imagery entitled Your Fertile Self...a little cheesey...but it is helpful!! Good Luck!!!

I fall asleep about half the time too. But then I want to keep on sleeping---makes the drive home rough.

my story about acupuncture
I hope I spelled it right...anyway...this is my second month. The first few visits I was thinking give me a break...
this junk cost so much money...just one more way to take advantage of a vulnerable person
but the last 3 times I have gone my legs & arms are so relaxed they feel like they are sleeping very strange. So my guess is ...it is working. Also I complained that a vein was hurting on my leg so she put a few needles in and....NO PAIN at all. I guess I will see if it works this cycle...the only issue I had was last cycle my progesterone level fell so low and I always for the past 6-9 month had great levels with no meds...I was starting to think maybe it was the acupuncture but I also had the water ultra sound done that month as well....it is hard to say really at this point. Overall it relaxes me...my mind still has millions of thoughts racing but my body is relaxing that is for sure. Iam more high energy and clomid makes me not myself so maybe it will help in the process. This place I go to also does a special fertility massage that is awesome! They also talk about diet and eating better foods to help you get pregnant. I have been on the diet 2 weeks & lost 5 pounds...now that Iam in the 2ww I have added to the diet. It is worth a shot I figure! A great book to buy before going to get acupuncture is the Fertility Cure..the women tells a wonderful story and her journey with acupuncture. Also be sure when you get acupuncture they don't re-use needles (some states say it is okay to do). Also be sure they specialize in acupuncture for infertility...very important. When I go in they know my cycle day and place needles in differnet places. GOOD LUCK and let me know if you try it!

Do you tip your acupuncturist? I thought that you do not since it is more of a medical service, but I researched this online and got some mixed reviews. I am thinking about trying acupuncture this time around and hoping that it helps.

I don't tip because it will cost me around 2,000 bucks so I feel the owner is making enough as it is.
