Question Concerned about chinese herbs + FSH shots
I'm supposed to go in for my first acupuncture appointment this Saturday. I'm really excited because I've heard so many wonderful outcomes. I'm only concerned about the combination of chinese herbs and the FSH shots. My doctor said that she wants to start me on FSH shots with Artificial Insemination. Does anyone know if it is OK to take both?

When I did acupuncture with herbs, my RE instructed me to stop taking the herbs the day I started Gonal-F. You should consult with your RE.

6/24/08 - 1st OB appt. w/high risk specialist ; HR 176 bpm; saw baby on ultrasound!!
7/22/08 - 2nd U/S - baby right on target. HR 154 bpm
8/19/08 - 3rd u/s - (17w2 d) we're having a healthy Baby BOY!!!!
9/2/08 - 4th u/s (19w2 d) HR 126 bpm
9/16/08 - 5th u/s (21w2d) u/s - anatomy scan. 1 lb 2oz
10/14/08 - 6th u/s (25 w2d) - 2lb 8 oz
11/01/08 - 3D/4D u/s - (27w6d) he has chubby cheeks and maybe a dimple! HR 133
11/07/08 - passed GTT
Previously:
IVF #3 + PGD- 6/18/07 BFP - Twins!
10/13/07 - preterm L&D of my precious twin daughters @ 20 weeks, 6 days, who did not survive.

Iam just doing the acupuncture now with no herbs.

Almost 2 years trying
Started all fertility testing in Nov. 2007
ON TO IVF after
2 months clomid, 2 IUIs w/ no meds, 2 IUIs w/ clomid.
1 failed IVF.
IVF JOURNEY 2008:
10/2-stims start us/good
10/05-US & bld wrk
10/07-20 follies E2 1213
ER 10/12 -Sunday 14 found, 8 fert. (2 2ab, 2bb 8cell frozen)
10/17 -Friday Transfer 2 (both 3bb 8cell)
10/27-the big test! BFN so sad!
11/3- start BCP, FSH 6
11/17 -Lupron, One more fresh round for back up
11/25-start stims

I took herbs all the way through until IUI and stopped until HPT/Beta. The month I diligently followed every suggestion given from my acupuncturist was the month it worked.

I went weekly for appts. took herbs 3/day. Ate pineapple from the start of stims until week after IUI and same for Vitamin E and drank a ton of green tea. Double check with both your RE and acupuncturist. I was lucky because mine shared an office and I had an acupuncture appt. immediately following my IUI and got to zone out and relax a bit which was great.
