That's true, she may change her mind in the future about the visits. I will just let her know we are open to it if she would like to visit someday.
We decorated the room last weekend. We bought the Migi Pinwheel bedding set (still in the package though, to be safe). We painted the walls a pale bluish color, replaced the carpet with a neutral tan color, and set up the crib. I'll wait to do the rest once we know if he's ours forever. Now we just wait.....

He's home!
Our son was born on Tuesday! He is beautiful, cuddly, has a round face, dark hair, and a cute button nose! These past few days have been an emotional rollercoaster! We formed an everlasting bond with his first family. She has gone above and beyond to include us in every aspect of his life, including using the name we picked on the birth certificate. So on Wednesday evening when she requested he be placed directly into our home instead of fostercare in the weeks preceeding the TPR court date, we accepted. We realize the risk we are taking by getting attached, but feel this is meant to be!
We brought him home last night. Saying goodbyes outside of the hospital was truly one of the hardest things we have ever done! We were so relieved to bring him home, but couldn't help feeling so incredibly sad for his first family. We will treasure every moment with him.
