I hear that all the time! Do they really think that now that I have adopted, more of my husband's sperm are going to miraculously start swimming or that my body is going to start releasing eggs!

Kari,

I kept meaning to respond to this, and yes, do people think I will magically start ovulating now that I've filled out mountains of paperwork??? I really wish folks were more educated on infertility and etiquette.

AND

I'd still like to see a reality show called "Infertility House' where several couples live in a house together and support eachother. They could show what couples go through during treatment, the 2ww, adoption, etc.

AND

We thought the 2ww was bad???? After all our paperwork is completed for adoption it could be as long as a year before we are matched with a child, now you wanna talk waits?!?!

Keri, this wasn't ALL directed at you I kinda wondered off, I'm sure you won't mind.

My physical is tomorrow, the doctor's office failed to tell us we need to fast before our appts. for bloodwork, so poor DH hadn't fasted yesterday before his physical so he had to fast today and go back! He was not a happy camper. (you know what it's like trying to get men to go to the doctor's to begin with.... need I say more...)

I fast for tomorrow at least I know ahead of time!!!

Oh, and I just want to announce that I'm SO happy for my adopted little sister Tulika (aka Tulip23) and her wonderful news that she is having a baby boy!! wooo hoooooo!!!!!

Love and hugs all around,
Julie

Man, this was a longer post that I'd planned

Yeah tulip!! I do know that I"m not patient so I'm not sure how this wait is going to be. I call my social worker once a month for an update. But I do know that my body is sooooo happy to be off meds. I have more energy, my hair is more full and grows more, and I don't have any bloating. What more can I ask for? Except a little baby, waiting for us to love him/her......

Sarah, when was your home study completed? Why does it freak me out so much to have someone inspecting my life under a microscope? did you feel the same?? It's an odd feeling. I'm so afraid they are gonna say we "aren't good enough" or something...

I read on someone's blog that they were wishin for more paperwork to make the waiting go faster

Girlie Girlie Girlie!!!

I have been in hiden mode. I just needed a break...
But I finally got the green light to move forward, which I am excited about.
I too am worried about just using clomid, and my doctor is so pro clomid. I am struggling with that or atleast give me a clomid/injec combo, I think I'd feel a little more at ease.
Since it is now just me paying for it, I want to start out with guns blazing, not start with the little b.b. gun and work my way up... so to speak... can't afford it.

Gosh I have missed you!!!

Syreeta sweetie,

clomid IS the bb gun

you need injections with IUI, esp. if you are PCOS and overweight in the slightest, but that's just one woman's opinion, I'm not a doctor, but I wish I played one on TV.

Yes, injections are more than clomid, but if you are paying for an IUI, I'm afraid it will be wasted

Shrafts? I think was the mail order pharm I used for my injectibles, they were AWESOME!!! great price, prompt mailing, AND, duh you are paying for DS too, so I'd suggest going straight to the hard core stuff.

Again, my opinion, but I've been there, done that, so, I hope others can learn from my experience, but then no two of us are alike either

ok, I'm off my soapbox good luck to you whatever you decide

J

We finished ours in July. It was crazy all the paperwork and then the questions she asked. Our social worker is soooo nice though. It is part of the reason I went with the agency we did.
