Julie, sounds like things are rolling. I am over the moon with excitement for you. YOU WILL BE A MOTHER - don't doubt that for one single second. And we'll all be here, the oldies and the newbes, cheering you on.

Tulika, congratulations. I guess I missed the "it's a boy" post but I happen to think boys are great! Any names?

Syreeta, love - good to see you came out of hiding. I've been thinking about you. Sounds like you are ready to go! Wishing you the best.

Physicals are DONE!

Child Protective Services search forms are filled out, signed and notarized, I just need to copy them tonight and get them in the mail

Baby steps

Yes, I have a spread sheet with the stuff to check off and the cost of stuff keeping track of everything!

Still lots of paperwork and finger prints to get before next FRIDAY (Home study meeting #1).

I'm so glad that you two have been talking and look to meet soon. It's wonderful to have the support and friendships from this forum. I know for me I thought I was the only one going through it, never did I imagine there were so many women out there struggling like me and these friendships mean the world to me.

physicals...

we BOTH have ultra high cholesterol (I have had for years - part of PCOS)

but she said my blood work also showed hypothryoidism

ugh!

More bloodwork in 8 weeks :P

She said for us both to start taking 4 fish oil pills a day, and one aspirin a day for me.

Man, I feel OLD

(but then there's me looking on the brighter side - hypothroydism can be a side effect of pregnancy so I'm wondering if I'm pregnant

Julie, I have been hypothyroid since I was 20. I have never heard of it being a side effect of pregnancy. However, it can be a reason why you might not have been able to conceive and carry in the past. Get on therapy (usually synthroid) and maybe this will open up a whole new door for you.

While shopping yesterday, the dogs knocked my work bag off a chair and decided that my ADOPTION JOURNAL would make a nice CHEW TOY!!!!

Remember, in the past they've chewed up stuff and left it on my seat on the sofa when I was pregnant...

Are they jealous already???

Fortunately the just ate the cover and four corners... :P

UGH!
