Newbie and need advice
Hi! after 4 failed IVF cycles we are moving to domestic infant adoption. WHEW!! There is SO much information out there!!
I have some agencies that I have contacted but I would appreciate if anyone could PM me if they had success with these agencies. We are in Dallas, Tx and I would prefer a much smaller agency but I am ready to get this ball rolling so I can be on the "waiting list" I would really appreciate any advice. LDS- dallas Office CASI Adoption Advisory Adoption Angels Also- what is the average wait time to hear back from an agency. I have called on private lawyer in PA twice and have not got a call back, Called Adoption Advisory and was told they were short staff but someone would call me in a week. Have put in requests in a bunch of other agencies/lawyers and have not heard back. Maybe I am expecting to much but I feel SO good about this decision that I want to move forward. Thanks again!

Sarah,
You might wanna check my blog out. We have our first meeting for our home study this Friday - so we are in the very early stages. I too had a hard time getting people to call me back. Might I recommend calling your local Jewish Family Services Center? This is where you can start with your home study and they can help you with other things beyond that. We went to a free seminar they were offering and the women there were all just so nice. They aren't a baby factory, they seem to want to help babies find families and families find baby. I also called the Catholic Family Services and the Lutheran Family Services but never heard back from either. All of these will help no matter what your religion. Please feel free to PM me, email me and/or check out my blog listed below. There IS a lot of info out there and one reason I started my blog was to help others and save others some leg work. Best of luck to you on your journey Sarah. Love and hugs, Julie
