What about Frozen Embryo Adoption?

I am clueless as to where to look for information about this! What clinics provide this? I have heard that they want a home study. Just curious as to whether others have pursued this and how to go about this?

I have had one cycle with frozen embies. Sadly it ended in an ectopic pregnancy. This is rare, but possible with any IVF or FET procedure.
We did not have to have a home study. We worked directly with our clinic's program. I know not all clinics have embryo donation programs. We live in the Seattle area. There can be a wait for these programs depending on availability of the race of embies you desire.
There are embryo adoption programs (Snowflake for example) where you are required to go through the adoption process including home study. You can go to their web site to get more info.
We ended up going with donor eggs. Embryo donation is much less expensive than donor egg though.
I hope you find a program that fits for you and I hope you get your baby soon.

There is a list of various agencies that assist in embryo adoption on the infertility treatments/ embryo adoption section.

I'm curious, which races take the longest to be matched with?
I'm African-American and I was told by many clinics that African-American and/or any race mixed with African-American are rare. Was this also the case at your clinic?

I think the availability depends on the clinic. In our clinic (Seattle) caucasian embryos were more readily available. I do know however, that they had some Ethiopian and Korean embryos at the time. (one year ago).

Frozen Embryo Adoption

Frozen embryos when used in infertility treatment gives very good result. The cost when you go for such treatment overseas is very less specially in countries like India. Here the doctors are also specialised and have very good experience. When i was looking out for the clinics i found the following site very informative which may help you all a lot.

Infertility Fertility & IVF Clinic for Male Female & Infertility Clinic & surrogacy in india

Please consider embryo adoption

My husband and I decided to adopt frozen embryos. We highly encourage anyone with infertility issues to consider this option. There are thousands of frozen babies available for adoption that deserve a chance at life. I am now 7 weeks pregnant with twins that we adopted!!! We chose to go through National Embryo Donation Center. They are located in Tennessee, but we live in Michigan so you don't have to live in TN. They require a home study. The staff is very considerate and professional. They allow both open and closed adoptions. We chose closed and were able to select our embryos to adopt out of those that were anonymously donated.

We are also hoping to do an embryo adoption and have found a web site called "Miracles Waiting". They are basically a matching site. You pay $150.00 to post on the site and wait and see if someone will match with you and donate their embryos to you. If they do, your two families take it from there. It's not an agency so there are no fees or homestudies. Hope that helps.
