Ivf

Hi!
I was reading through the thread and wanted to know if you've considered donor egg? Is that an option for you? I know where you're coming from b/c I've been trying to conceive for the last 10 years with 4 failed IUI's and 1 failed IVF. I am going to try it again next year with high hopes.

All the best in whatever you decide!

Hi!

New to this site; however, Sarah16 while I don't know your issue particularly I was wondering if you've considered donor egg? Is this an option for you?

I know where you're coming from as I have been trying to conceive for the last 10 years with no luck after 6 failed IUI's and 1 failed IVF. I will; however, try again next year with high hopes.

I wish you all the best in whatever you decide!

Unfortuately there is nothing wrong with my eggs, we just have "unexplained" infertility and we aren't willing to do IVF since nothing is covered under my insurance. Thanks for the suggestion though! I appreciate it.

Sarah I have read your posts and I too am in your shoes! I can relate to the various fertility treatments with no luck. Now they are pushing us towards IVF but we just don't have that kind of money and I am not going to risk our finances for the chance of a baby. We are also unexplained and after 3 years we are exhausted and baffled as to why we haven't gotten preggo. We too started looking at adoption and just a month ago we heard about a young couple that has gotten pregnant and can't afford to have a baby now. She is 18 and he is 23 and neither of them work right now. The boy's mother approached us because she heard what we had been going through. They were talking to us and one other couple but I am happy to say that as of Thursday they chose us!! We think it is a little girl and she is due in March. We couldn't be happier.

On a positive note, adoption may be the thing you need to take your mind off of TTC. My mom tried for 8 years adopted and then had me! I had a patient come in this week. She was getting a picc line to start treatment for a clotting factor and scheduled for a hysterectomy the next day. She had an 11 year old and had been trying ever since, been through treatments and everything with no luck. The next morning she came in to have her surgery and they did a pregnancy test and it came back positive!! I cried for her because just the day before we had talked about what a heartache infertility is and she had finally come to terms she would never have another. She had just been placed on an adoption list and was beginning the wait for that. I was so happy for her and it gives people like you and me hope that it can happen! I wish you the best and I pray your little miracle comes along whether it be through adoption or naturally!
