New Update!

Well it looks like little Lily won't be ours. She will go to a foster parent and hopefully they will be able to adopt her. Since we aren't taking foster classes it would be at least 6 more months before we could get her and DH really wants a new baby.

We do have our 2nd homestudy meeting on thursday though!! Got our fingerprinting done on monday and hopefully we will have that back within 4 weeks so we can be approved before june.

Also I have an interview next week for a new job. It's in the school district that my daughter will be in so we will have the same breaks. It is part time, nice for me but less cash on hand. I told my DH he better get a raise at his job soon. Ha!

I don't understand why they would want to foster Lily when they have parents willing to take her?

I know you will get your baby soon. I am so glad things are moving along well. Good luck on your job interview!

I'm sorry the situation with Lily will not work out. I've heard that it can take quite a while for the foster care classes. 6 months? - jeez.

I'm sure she'll go to a loving home. We originally planned on adopting a toddler, but were told by our agency that in those rare instances, they are typically adopted by a foster family - so they don't even make it to our agency for placement.

Good luck on your homestudy visit. It's a big relief once you get approved! We celebrated by buying a few gender neutral baby clothes! I hope you're matched with a baby real soon!
