So does anyone have any updates on where they are at with things?

None for me. :0( We are next on the list to get invited to do a home study, but we have to wait for 1 or 2 more placements, and the agency hasn't had any placements in a few months. Oh, well. I have a two-year-old to chase around, so I am not in a hurry right now. Check back in a few months, though, and I'll probably be getting antsy.

The waiting is the hardest part with adoption and there certainly a lot of it. I wish you the best and please keep us posted too.

We had our first home visit yesterday. It went very well We're hoping to have the homestudy completed between the middle and end of April, then we just wait for the right match!

We also have a small mountain of paperwork to complete. A lot of when the homestudy finishes up has to do with how soon we turn in all of our paperwork.

This is very true JL. I remember the mounds of paperwork. You get through it though. I am sure all will go fine. Keep us posted. Just remember each piece of paperwork completed is a step forward

I'm sifting through the list of things I need to put together for her. It's shorter than I thought, but of course it's the tricky stuff!

Superman (my DH) needs a social security card, we need copies of paperwork from the county court, stuff like that!
