New to BBT charting - help if you can?

Hello Ladies

As you see from the subject i am new to all this. I am not strictly trying to conceive but to cut a long story short i am having menstrual problems since coming off the pill. I was on Cerazette which took my periods away and they basically havent really returned in 2 years. I have recently been seeing an acupuncturist who is trying to re balance my hormones and i have also been diagnosed as having a polycystic appearance to my right ovary.

Since seeing the Acupuncturist (beginning Dec 08) i have had 2 periods but the cycles were 65 and 46 days long. I am on day 34 at the moment and have been charting my temps to see if i am ovulating since day 19 of this cycle. My temps have all been below 98 degrees and fluctuate around the 96.8-97.33 mark. This seems really low and constant so does that mean i am not ovulating at all? I am not sure now if my 2 recent periods have been non ovulatory or not and really just want some advice as to what could cause my temps to be so low?

Any help you can give would be much appreciated as i am starting panic. I am 29 and would really like to start a family soon - i feel as if my life is on hold til i can sort out my hormones and feel normal again! HELP!

Thanks in advance.
Jessica.

I really recommend you to buy this book "Taking Charge of your fertility"by Toni Weschler. You will learn more about charting and "reading" your body....
Did you talk with your Dr. about your long cycles?

Good luck!

Jessical~

I have been tracking my BBT for just about 1 month and my temps have been between 96.1 and 97.3 but I have had 2 spikes in that time frame where it has been elevated (not sure if that means that I ovulated or not? ) But it should work out that way from what I was told by my OB. Good luck becaue I know that its confusing and frustrating

Wishing everyone baby dust

I charted for awhile and my morning temps were always on the low side. I didn't know at the time that I had PCOS so charting in order to get pregnant was really more like running headlong into a brick wall and wondering why I couldn't get to the other side. Your experience sounds fairly similar to mine. I agree with the previous poster about talking to your doctor about your irregular cycles. There may be an underlying cause (especially since you mentioned the polycystic appearance on one ovary) that makes charting kinda pointless.
