They won't give you a time frame because it just depends on how many birthmothers come to them. I am going with a small agency who only works with 10-15 couples at a time. We are doing domestic infant adoption. If you are thinking of an older child you should do foster/adopt. There is no cost! My good friend at work had a failed IVF and is now starting the process to adopt a 5 year old. I'm very excited for her.

I didn't realize that there was no cost with foster/adopt....we haven't really looked into any of it yet just trying to keep positive thoughts that this would work but I have thought of looking into it. I know that you are supposed to stop fertility treatments while going through the process....that is what my cousin who is a social worker told me (she is in a different state though)....

Since we are still on the waiting list they haven't even asked us any questions about infertility. I'm sure they will when they do the home visit.
