New here- and hating the waiting game

Hi everyone. New here- but this is the thread I belong in- waiting! I hate the waiting! Have 28mm cyst that developed after last follistim round and IUI- ended in miscarriage at 5 weeks. So waited for a month for the cyst to go away- which it hasn't. Now waiting while the Dr. pleads to the insurance to cover a laproscopic surgery to remove cyst and possible ovarian adhesions found back in May. No infertiity benefits- and fighting with insurance to cover the cyst removal. (which in our opinion- is not infertlity-)

Good afternoon ladies! Can I join you "in limbo"? I feel like then entire of 2007 was limbo for me. Waiting... waiting... waiting.... Arghhh. So right now the limbo I happen to be occupying at the moment is the wait for AF. I was diagnosed with a Blighted Ovum after my Nov IVF and STILL have not started to bleed. I would've been about 11 weeks pregnant and, as I'm sure you all can relate, is quite frustrating (as I have many symptoms but no pregnancy). The bit of good news I'm hanging onto for the moment comes from a doctor I met with in Florida a couple of weeks ago. He strongly believes that I was misdiagnosed and that I do not have a didelphic uterus (non-correctable), but have a complete uterine septum (correctable through laporoscopy). So I'm hoping his diagnosis is correct but must wait at least 6 weeks after AF arrives (MORE LIMBO)! I'm so glad that this forum was started because I feel so disattached from the IVF forum since that will be months away but I do so love the support on here! Here's to a wonderful and happy 2008!

ladies....I think we are all feeling like we are in limbo! At least it sounds like you girls know what the plan of action is...just now you have to wait for mother nature or deal with the insurance companies! It just all really sucks....

Yep...I'm still in limbo AND a rut. I'm thinking this could be a permanent thing!!

Anyone know if alcohol is a good cure for limbo?? I only ask as I've had one of those xmas holidays where far too much wine was consumed...but it certainly helped forget about TTC for a wee bit.

I hope you girls all had great holidays. Lets hope soon we are all out of limbo and back into TTC land soon. Although...TTC is kinda crap too. Ugh...I think I need a glass of chardonnay!!

Here in Limbo Land too

Hi Girls,

I haven't been on the site in a long time it seems like I just didn't know where to fit in since my m/c in March now I am debating on when to do my FET but so scared that it might happen again and I will have to go through the heartbreak again, I don't think I can handle it. I haven't been to my RE since April and I am just dreading going back but it's looks like that is my only choice right now. I feel the same way like it's never going to happen and I'm never going to know what it is to be a Mom, watching a Baby Story and Bringing Home Baby, they should really have a show on Trying to Have a Baby and Fertility Treatments.
My sister did accupuncture before her IVF in 2006 and now has twins so I am thinking about trying it too before I decide to do the FET.
I wish you girls all the best of luck and may 2008 be our year!!!!!
Thanks for listening!

Hello Ladies,

I am new to the forum and not sure where to go besides lurking. I guess limbo most defines where I am so can I join you for a bit. We are planning to hopefully do a FET in June and I am feeling excited and anxious and nervous and terrified of opening myself up to another loss. Our IVF in '06 resulted in our beautiful baby boys who along with our two adopted teen girls are the light of my life. Still my heart still aches for my 3 lost babies. But we have 4 frozen embies and I long to know them as well. June just seems so far away and so now we prepare and WAIT! Doesn't it seem that we are always waiting with IF?

Sorry for rambling
Kimmy

Yes, wine does help with being in limbo, that is not a medical opinion just mine Well, limbo land is where i belong. In 2007 we had 2 failed iui's and one failed ivf, with no frozen eggs. So do I start from the begining again or try adoption-these are the thoughts that torment me everyday now. If i were to do another ivf it would be way in aug or sept. i am trying to find peace and answers KYM

Kimmy, I'm sorry for your losses hun. I also seem to suffer from the horrible recurrent pregnancy loss problem. I completely understand where you are coming from by feeling scared to try again. I'm absolutely petrified. So much so my DH practically has to drag me to the RE now, I just hate going there so much. But what else can we do?

HopinginNY and Kym, welcome to limboland!! The thread where IF girls sit and wait for....well...who knows?? lol. Seriously though, the waiting is definately the worst part, if its not waiting for treatment its waiting on AF, or the 2ww or the u/s wait...blah blah blah. It just goes on and on doesn't it? Why don't these stupid doctors understand our pain and just speed these processes up?? Personally I think its a huge conspiracy to keep us all so upset and exhausted we will just hand over our money without realizing.

Oh, and I'm really glad to hear wine helps with limbo. I'll take you girls advice over my annoying RE anyday!!

Well I definately have to join the "limbo" page because I am definately in limbo.... probobly permanently.
Since my ectopic I have been a hormonal mess. AF showed her ugly face 1 month to the date of my surgery. Happy anniversary.
I sat in my RE's office 2 days before X-mas crying my eyes out. I am better at this point but have absolutely NO idea how to come up with the money to do another IVF cycle. My DH doesn't want to adopt so I really am in Limbo right now.
No studies where I am at, NO insurance coverage for nothing.... I think that is crap, I am even an RN at a hospital and no Infertility coverage....
I hate it that anyone has to be in LIMBO...
Good luck to all...

Hi Girls! I usually post on the IUI thread, but I am now in limbo too due to a high FSH level. I was just wondering if anyone experienced an abnormal cycle after stopping the meds. On day 21 I started feeling some mild AF cramps and then spotted on day 22, but I didn't have any cramps and I usually have really bad cramps on day 1. Anyway, except for a few smears (sorry TMI) the next day, it's all stopped. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else and if I should call my RE to take prometrium to induce a period.

I would wait until day 30 or so before calling the RE. You might be just breaking down follies from last cycle.
