Hey ladies,

I had my HSG done in late Feb, and the results show that the dye didn't get to all of my left tube. My RE at that time was confident that it has a 75% chance of not being blocked, and I was put on Clomid the next cycle. I responded very well to Clomid, had 3 big follicles, but got a BFN. RE thinks it's due to a 4mm uterine polyp and we have scheduled an operative hysteroscopy to remove it on the 23rd this month.

Here comes my dilemma. Because my RE thinks I'll be under general anesthesia anyway for my hysteroscopy. she suggested she make a small incision in my belly button and check out my left tube to see FOR SURE if it is indeed blocked. I don't think it's considered doing a laproscopy, as it's just one incision on my belly button.

BUT.....I have the lowest tolerance of pain threshold and is AWFUL about needles and surgeries and what not. I took quite a long time to get over undergoing the hysteroscopy and now I really dunno if I should undergo the other one too.

My RE did think that is a 75% chance that my left tube is not blocked, but of course, is not sure. I think my fear is, what if I let her do it and then she finds out it's indeed not blocked? Wouldn't I have done it for nothing?

I'm driving myself crazy.....any advice would be much appreciated, thanks so much......
