I am excited to be here! It may take a while to get used to the abbreviations so please forgive me. I am a 29 yearold woman with no health issues and my husband is a 44 year old prostate cancer SURVIVOR! He underwent radiation and a radical prostectomy. Prior to his disgnosis we had no issues concieving. We are the prouds parents to a Angel whom we lost during the 21 week of our pregnacy and we have a lively 5 year old that keeps us on our feet! I have always wanted more children but put those plans on hold once my husband was diagnosed. I only wanted him, to be healthy and grow old with me. We have been decided that we need to try our last shot at becoming parents again. I will tell the whole IVF process was extremly foreign to me. I'm not sure why but in the African American community infertility issues appear to be a of limits topic. I am so excited to have found this active forum of women and men who have experienced or are experiencing the same things as we are. I recently began microdose lupron and will soon begin to incoporate gonal F and Menopur

Hi Onelasttry just wanted to say hello and welcome. I am very excited to find this website to share my experience with others as well I am a 31 years old and my husband is 31 too. I had tubal ligation done 2004 and now me and my husband want a baby. I have kids from my last marriage but my husband has none. I am going through my 3rd IVF first one was not successful second one my body rejected the medications and I am on my 3rd cycle now. I currently on lupron 5 units follistim 150 and menopur 75. My next blood work and sono is on Monday I really hope my body does not reject the medication. Praying really hard.

Hello Onelasttry how is everything going? Well I went to my doctor yesterday and my follies are growing I am a little worry because I do not know if they growing has fast as they should I have a couple that were 11,12 13 and a others that were less than 10 I am hoping that when I go tomorrow they grew some more . Hope all is well with you.

Hello StayingPositive, I went to the Doctor on Monday and my estrogen level was low 67.3 and it was day 3 of stims, they said it should have been at least 100. They doubled my dosage of Gonal f 300 units and Menopur 150 u I know take them Am and pm. I have a appointment tommorrow AM as well, lets check back and give a update!

Hope you doing doing well. I had mention before that I was worry about my follies not growing how they should well I went to see my doctor today and she said everything looks great my biggest follie is 16 and others run from 11-12 1/2 so I am praying that by Friday they have grew enough so I could have my ER on Sunday. I am keeping my fingers . The doctor said if I am not ready we might have to do a few more days of med which I am ok with as long as everything looks great and I am going on the right track. Thats awesome news StayingPositive, I just got off the phone with my nurse my estrogen level has almost triples its at 188, but my folliciles are slowing growing of course I cried cause Im worried now that my body my not be working properly. I go back Friday praying that I get some good results

Sorry to hear that don't cry stay positive and have faith I will be praying for you. How many days have you been taking your meds for? Tonight will be my 8th night taking them. On monday I was also worry because my follies weren't growing fast either. On Monday they were low numbers and when I went today I had one at 16. So think positive everything will be ok. They could grow any where from 1-3 mm a day. So in 2 days they could grow plenty. Keep positive thats what I am trying to do.. I forgot to mention to eat a lot of protein chicken, greens, fruits, fish and a pint of milk I was doing research and I heard it helps. I been trying to eat as mush as I can. On Monday I made some good chicken soup with carrots and celery they were yummy and I am not a vegetable person. If you like do some research on foods that you could eat to help them grow. Are you taking any vitamins?

Oh ok so you have time. Same thing happen to me on my 6th day they were growing slow I had many that were less than 10 and I when I went today they are looking great so keep your chin up.

Hey ladies I had my appointment this AM although, I am still waiting on the nurse to call me with the official report, the ultrasound tech informed me that I have a total of 5 folliciles that have grown!! The largest one is 13.5 that is a drastic change from a couple days ago, I also had 5 additional follicles that were still under 8mm. Tonight I will take my 8th dosage of stims but I think this is still good news waiting on my E2 level

Dr. Appointment went great today I think my E2 is 863, thats 261 points up from yesterday, I have 9 follicles 5 on the right and 4 on the left, all measuring greater than 11, the hightest two at 18 and 17! I have another appointment in the morning at 7:45am, they have started bringing me in everyday...my time is winding down. This is so exciting, continuing to pray God's will with the outcome of this !
