Birth control and Clomid anyone?
I just started taking BC Pills, my RE wants me to take them for 42 days and then have a period and then take 100mg of clomid.... i dont get it.... why BC Pills? isnt that supposed to help u not get Pregs? I am confused? did anyone else have to do this? did it work?

ITS A GIRL!! 7-26-09 - Jenna Rose arrived 3 weeks early!! Healthy 7lbs 18in

I have never seen BCP used with Clomid but they are frequently used during IVF/injectable cycles to regulate your cycle prior to treatment.

Me 34 - PCOS DH 39 - Ct(110 ml), but still mot and morp issues  TTC 4+ years 2 year wait to see RE than RE takes 5 months off! 10/07-6/08- 6 rounds Clomid = BFN RE May 08 = waiting for DH appt. at to see if sperm will respond properly to “fallopian tube environment” – July 08 Passed! 5/08 Testing for Lymphoma- Negative!!! I just have Sarcoidosis. 8/08 Hysteroscopy and Lap removed polyp from uterus and adhesions to ovary and fallopian tubes, adhesions not previously diagnosed. IUI 1&2 -BFN On to IVF 1/09 1/26 - ER -22 eggs only 9 fertilized  1/31 - ET & 4 snow babys  2/6 HPT  2/10 Beta-256 2/12 Beta-568 3/2 First U/S - One Baby! 3 dogs & 3 cats

Hello,
I just got diagnosed with PCOS and my RE prescribed Provera to induce my period so that I can start Clomid 50mg. I guess that the BCP has the same effect than the Provera (induce AF). I know that with Provera your period comes quicker though... I took it a month ago for 10 days for an HSG, and AF appeard 7 days after my last pill... Hope this is helps... Good luck!

 heya!! yeah, i started taking provera to try and regulate my periods after not having one for about 5 yrs, i am totally new to this fertility treatment, iv had test after test and after my 1st cycle, still no enlarged foillicles, i am worried though and because i am the only person out of all the people i know to have this syndrome i am totally oblivious!, so if people could chat to me et, u are more than welcome to email me as i would be very very grateful for the support!!!
