Hi ladies.

Well, my u/s today showed 2 follies on the left (15 & 17mm) and 2 on the right (both 13mm) but the Dr wants me to come back tomorrow because she wants them to be bigger. I don't quite get why though now that I'm thinking about it because my right ones really aren't going to work (since I have the blocked tube). Hmmm....I'm just gonna roll with the punches and hope the Dr is doing the right thing waiting. I'm a little concerned because she said my lining is thin again (5mm ~ I should've asked what it should be!) but hopefully it'll thicken up!!!!

So if tomorrow everything goes well and the follies are a good size, I'll do the Ovidrel and have IUI Sunday and Monday mornings (work will love that I'm out for another day ~ at least a half day!!!).

I was hoping for better news, but I guess it's not bad. I just really wanted to do the IUI tomorrow and Sunday both for convenience AND of course, to get things going!

Jennifer ~ sounds like you made the right decision waiting! Cool, starting a cycle Sunday, that's awesome!!!! Good luck!

Syd ~ not too much longer before your surgery and you're on your way to your next cycle!!!!

Dianne, that sounds like good news to me. And don't worry, they WILL grow. And your lining too. My RE told me the lining should be 7 - 8mm at its optimum. That's when they think it's good enough for IVF. Well, it looks like you're on your way!! Best of luck and lots of ! I'll be thinking of you!

Yeah, my pre-surgery consult went well yesterday. Basically all my RE did was to reassure me. And we also talked about my left tube. She said she still thinks it's 75% not blocked. So, I guess I'm just gonna have the hysteroscopy! I'm kinda relieved! And at peace with my decision. And I can start on Provera the day after my surgery! Yay! Hope AF comes quick then, and we can start a new cycle!

Hey Ladies!

Okay, today's u/s showed two follies on the left 15mm & 19mm and the ones on the right shrunk (I'm not too bummed because my right tube is the blocked one). Lining is 6mm. Tomorrow is my first IUI and the next is Monday. I'm sure I'll have some interesting stuff to report!!!!

Leah, you're doing OPK right? Any luck yet? I took the ovidrel shot tonight, so I should ovulate in 24-48 hours!

Well, I had my first IUI today (tomorrow is my second). I have to say, I don't know what I was expecting, but I thought there waas a reason to be nervous...there wasn't! It's almost like having a regular yearly exam. So, if anyone is on the fence about getting it done out of fear, no need to fret!

I guess 2 weeks from today is my bloodwork, but I'm really not sure. I'll find out tomorrow and let you know!

Dianne, yay!! Glad it went well for you! Did your RE do it for you? I ask this because my RE did tell me her partners will actually do it if ovulation occurs for me during a weekend. She doesn't work weekends I guess. So did you experience cramping afterwards? Do they tell you your DH's washed sperm count and motility too?

Syd~my RE does work weekends, but honestly, if this cycle doesn't work, I'm going to a new RE. WAY too many errors on their part and it's adding more stress to the process that's already stressful. Not to mention I feel like I'm not getting good care.

I know his motility was 113, but they didn't say what the sperm count was (and all of this I had no idea of what to ask about!). I had a little cramping during, but not really anything afterwards. It was actually pretty uneventful (although I hope VERY eventful at the same time!)

Dianne, ouch. That's not good. Oh, I thought you already got yourself a new RE. Well yeah, if you feel like you're not getting good care, go to another RE, pls. Infertility is so personal, you do need to feel you're in the safest hands ever, in my opinion.

Is 113 good? I'm sorry, I don't know those numbers. To be honest, I was reading in the IUI thread here and I did notice that they usually give the sperm count and motility numbers after wash. Maybe you can ask tomorrow!

Well, uneventful is good! Hope your 2nd one goes as well as today's! Lots of baby dust!!

The Dr said 113 is good, but didn't mention the count. I'll definitely ask tomorrow! That's one of my areas of disappointment (although that I could handle, it's the errors that are concerning) the Dr doesn't give much information at all, I constantly have to ask and I often don't know WHAT to ask, so it's frustrating. Hopefully, I won't need any RE soon because I'll be pregnant, but we'll know that in just a few weeks now!!!

Wow, 113 is good! Great!! Oh I know what you mean. That's why I keep researching on the Internet, but you know, different doctors believe in different things. I trust my RE alot, so I guess that helps to alleviate some of the fears I have from reading too much on the Net.

Oh, is your RE not an OB/GYN too? Mine is both. Weird thing is though, she does not deliver the babies. So she said if we got pregnant, she'll be my OB only til my 8th month of pregnancy. I was like....aww....

Wow yeah you'll know in 2 weeks! So fast!!

I started my first dose of 100mg Clomid last night! I am really trying to be postive this time!

Syd~my Dr was an OB, but she just now focuses on RE now. I'm done with her though (after I get my results that is) because really, she's an awful Dr. I could've forgiven the mistakes the office made (seriously, there were NUMEROUS) if she had been apologetic and told me she's corrected the problem, but instead, she actually said, "all of the mix ups you've experienced are just process problems". Um, no, it's MY LIFE that you're messing with!

Enough about that!

Today was IUI #2. A little more cramping, but still totally bearable. Although, I know it worked yesteday and don't even think we needed to go today! Yesterday's count was much higher though (yesterday, 113, today, 20!) but I think it could be that we BD last night. Maybe we shouldn't have, but the Dr never said not to.

Jennifer~good luck with this cycle! I just know this is the cycle for us!!!! Syd~you're not far behind, so it'll be your time soon too!

Syd~thanks for the thoughts!!! I've been thinking about you. So close to the surgery that will help you have your miracle!!! I know you're probably nervous, but try to look at it as an exciting event that will get you even closer to your dream of being a Mom! What time is your surgery Thursday?

Jennifer~I too have been wondering about Leah. I checked her last post and it was on the 14th. I hope she's okay too! How have you been??? This 2ww is just the hardest thing for me!!! As I mentioned, I had my IUIs B2B on Sunday and Monday. I've been weepy, but that happened last cycle, think it's just the meds. Today, a little cramping, so I hope that means I'm Oing! How are you feeling????

Dianne, thanks for that comforting thought! yes, I'll try to think of that when I'm on the operating table! My surgery is 1pm on Thurs, but I'll have to be at the surgery center at by 11:30am. I do trust my RE alot though, so I guess that's good!!

Aww, you've been weepy? It's ok, everything is said and done now! You just have to endure these 2 weeks to get your !! Cheer up ok!! Did you get the Ovidrel shot this time? How long after that did you do your first IUI? Yay for cramps!!

Yeah, I also wonder how Leah is? Hope she's doing ok!!
