We tend to pretend like it's not scheduled. Instead of getting down to business right away, we cuddle for a bit, and then just *happen* to BD.

Pumpkin ~ That's the approach we're taking too. I just think he thought "oh, we'll BD all the time" and as you know, it's not that easy! At least for me, I have the "schedule" in the back of my mind at all times and I think he does too. Maybe becaus it's our first time at all of this...

Sydney ~ he's working with me! I think he had a "moment" last night (of which I have had many!) where the stress started getting to him.

Hoping BFP for all of us!!!!

Hi guys!

Just checking to see how you're all doing? Today is CD 14 for me. I'm feeling some twinges of pain (actually, kinda like cramping) and I'm hoping that means I'm ovulating, or better yet, implantation - although I think it's too soon for that, right?

Sydney, we're very close in cycles ~ have you experienced any cramping???

Hope all is well with all of you!!!

My OPK was negative yesterday...really hoping for a positive today so I can go for my u/s tomorrow. I agree with the scheduled feeling of BDing...I don't mind it so much but my DH seems to be bothered by it alot...I think he starts thinking too much. lol DMS, are you doing OPKs? You definitely could be ovulating!

Yes, I did use an OPK, but then realized the Ovidrel would cause it to come up positive regardlesss!!! I think our BD is done. I even think my DH might be having performance anxiety or something, which has never been a problem. I feel so bad for him!!!! Hopefully all we did is enough!!!!

How are you guys holding up during the 2WW??? I go back and forth...UGH!

Dianne, no, I took the Ovidrel shot on CD15, and my RE said I will definitely ovulate on CD17, and didn't feel any cramps at all that day.

And really? Ovidrel will make your OPK positive? I tested positive too the next day with the OPK.

I keep having mild hot flashes at night when I'm sleeping, so I've not been sleeping through the night ever since I took Clomid. Plus, the last few days my boobs are really tender and sore. It's the Ovidrel right, ladies?

I don't really know anything about Ovidrel but if it causes a positive on the OPK and induces ovulation it probably causes the LH surge to occur. The LH surge normally occurs naturally 24-48 hours prior to ovulation so that sounds about right for the Ovidrel too.

Sydney, The only side effect I had from the clomid was hot flashes too....weird.

OPK was negative again yesterday....this waiting sucks and its not even the 2ww yet

Do you think exercising (i.e. brisk walking/slow jogging) would cause any problems with implantation??? I'm dying to get back to my exercise I started about a month ago, but obviously won't if it will cause any problems. I'm going to ask when I go to the Dr's office tomorrow for my LH test (that's it right, progesterone?!?!)...

Sydney, you're a little behind me, but not much! I didn't have any side effects that I noticed from the Ovidrel, but definitely had hot flashes with the Clomid. Tender & sore, I had that with the Clomid, but it stopped about a week ago. I guess they can all affect people in different ways though...

I read you can feel cramps/twinges sometimes for up to 48 hours after ovulating and they have gone, so I'm pretty sure I did and if so, we BD at the right time!!!

Yes, I have done some research and read that the Ovidrel causes a surge and thus, the OPK would be positive. Also, that could cause a false positive on a pregnancy test too, so we might as well not waste our money on those (the nurse told me!).

Leah, are you only doing Clomid? My Dr did a day 12 US to check the follicles (and would've made me come back for another if they weren't big enough). But that's to tell me when I should get the Ovidrel shot (and then ovulate 24-36 hours later). Seems like you should ovulate by Monday the latest to me. Lots of BD to come!!!!

Baby Dust to all!!!!
Dianne

Clomid 100 mg - first cycle (Dr increased because of blocked tube)
Mar 10 Day 1- AF

Mar 12 Day 3- no cysts found on ultrasound
Mar 12 - Day 3- Started Clomid 100mg days 3-7
Mar 21 - Day 12- U/S 1 follie on each side, 20mm & 21mm - Ovidrel shot

Mar 22 - Ovulation day!!!! Now, the 2WW!

Dianne, ues I am only doing clomid. I am not being monitored by an RE due to insurance reasons but I insisted my OB/GYN send me for at least one ultrasound to make sure everything is ok. He wanted me to go for Day 14...since thats when ovulation is supposed to occur but that is this Friday and I have to work 7a-7p. I have been doing the OPKs since Monday and all have been negative so far. When I get a positive I am going to see if I can go for the U/S that day or the next day since it will prob be most accurate for # of follies and lining thickness. So now I am just waiting for the positive on the OPK. If I get the positive tomorrow I will have to call out of work on Friday to go for the U/S so I kinda hope that doesn't happen. I would feel bad doing that but I have to go for the U/S!!! lol How many dpo are you now? You can't take the HPT until at least 10 days and its unlikely to be + even if you are preggers. Keep me posted!!

Leah

Leah,

I understand your situation. I was in the same situation for years until my insurance started covering things!!!

Well, today is 2dpo. I think I'm not going to bother with the hpt because of the Ovidrel and it possibly staying in my system. I say that now, but as the days tick away, I may get impatient and do it anyhow!!!!

Dianne, Does your doc recommend just waiting for a blood test instead of doing a HPT? It seems like the Ovidrel shouldn't cause a false positive by the time you should miss your period.
