Oh, I forgot to mention that I have the same thing going on as Jennifer. I am having some twinges on the right side like ovulation pains but I haven't gotten my positive OPK yet. Jennifer and I are on the same cycle day...day 12 today. It can't be ovulation pain...its so weird that we both have it though!

I think it can be ovulation pains ladies! It's definitely possible. On day 12 for me, my follicles were large enough to induce ovulation, so I would think it's quite possible. How long is your cycle normally? If it's shorter than average, then you would probably ovulate earlier than most of us. I had my twinges on CD 14 and 15...

Yes, the Dr said it's still possible that I could get a false positive 2 weeks after ovulation. Maybe they just said that because they don't want me testing and freaking myself out!

Happy Baby Dancing!!!

Dianne, congrats!! Though I dunno what that means. But, it must be good news! What test did you do to check for progesterone? Is that a bloodwork test? Did your RE suggest it? Mine only wanted me to go for one on Apr 3, which would be my 13DPO.

Lots of baby dust to you too!!

Hi Sydney.

Yes, the test for progesterone is bloodwork. My RE checks these levels to make sure I did ovulate and to make sure the levels are where they should be to make implantation of the ovum.

I'm not quite sure exactly why they test it though being that I took the Clomid & Ovidrel, I don't think there was a way for me NOT to ovulate, but I guess if my progesterone was low, they would've given me a shot to raise it up in the hopes that it would help me conceive.

Oh wow, you're going 13dpo, I have to wait till day 15!!!! I guess all REs do different things, but I'd definitely be happy to do it at 13! So if my calculation is right you're going for your PT on Friday, 4/3? I'm going on Monday, 4/6. Fingers crossed for BFPs!!!!

Hey Dianne, thanks for the explanation! Well maybe I calculated wrongly here. Do you count the day of ovulation as 1DPO? I didn't. Anyway, my RE told me to go for the bloodwork test on 4/4, but was worried that they won't have the results fast enough as that is gonna be a Saturday.

So asked me to do it on 4/3, you're right! But I will be going out of town that weekend, leaving on 4/2, and she said, it's ok, do it when I'm back instead, which is 4/7. I'm not sure if I can hold out til then!!

So your RE just told you to do a PT? Do you still need to go in for another bloodwork test?

Yeah, here's to BFPs for all of us!!

I don't think you count the day of (I didn't either!). My RE scheduled my bloodwork (PT) for 4/6. They said not to bother with a HPT before because the Ovidrel could cause a false positive. But I have a feeling I'm going to want to do one anyhow (my DH is already asking "when can we do a pregnancy test")! I'll have to see if I can hold out.

Funny, I'm traveling too! Going down to NC to visit my family on 4/2 and coming back 4/5!!!

Dianne, you just put up your signature! And OMG, even our bodies plus our DHs' are so similar!

Hahaha and the travelling too, geez! Will you be flying out or driving? I'll be flying. And I also wonder, is flying OK during the 2WW? Coz I remember I read somewhere that the air pressure induces your AF?

Sydney,

I know! I actually used your signature as my template and put in my stuff, but didn't have to change all that much!!!

I'm driving. As crazy as it sounds, I'm taking stuff down to my family for a yard sale (I'm going to visit, the yard sale is a perk!). I'm not sure if you can fly during the 2WW. I never gave much thought to it. Have you talked to your RE about it? Where are you headed???

Dianne, that's so funny, that you used my sig as a template for yours!!

Oh I really dunno, I'm planning to call my nurse next week and ask if I can do the bloodwork test on Thurs instead of Fri. And also ask if I should fly. We're going to California to visit a friend. I really wanna go! And I'm scared that my RE will say no, though I have a feeling she's probably gonna say OK. Oh man.....I don't wanna take any unnecessary risks....you know what I mean?

Yes, I know I've even stopped walking/running on my treadmill until my PT! I'm thinking they'd probably say it's fine, but I'm just trying to be as careful as I can!!!! I bet it should be fine for you to fly, but it's definitely worth checking to be sure. Oh man, Thursday test - how great that would be! I hope you start a BFP trend for all of us on this forum!

But Dianne, I'm also so anxious now, can't wait to know the results next week, but also kinda afraid of the results at the same time. You know that kind of conflicting feelings? I keep telling myself not to be too disappointed if the results didn't turn out the way I want, but I also want to be positive at the same time!

Of coz I want a for all of us!! It's really in God's hands now, I keep telling my friends...

True Sydney. I didn't mean to not sound like I don't understand those feelings. I too have them and I TOTALLY understand! I try my best to stay positive by thinking "it's going to be positive, but if it's not, this is just the FIRST cycle and there are many more I can do after this". It's still not easy, but I keep hoping that'll get me through until the news comes!

Sydney & Dianne,

Good news...I'm only about 5-6 days behind you guys! I got my positive LH yesterday and went for my ultrasound. I had 2-4 good follies and she said my lining looked healthy although I didn't get a thickness. My temp is higher this morning so I guess I ovulated last night!! Now I'm in the 2ww with you girls. I guess I am just going to be doing a HPT because my doc didn't order any blood work. However, I didn't take the Ovidrel so I guess I don't have to worry about a false positive. I am just praying that my LP will be long enough for implantation to occur. I am worried that we didn't BD enough...i mean we did every other day but last night my DH was so tired so we didn't. I just hope there were some swimmers left from the night before!

Leah ~

That's GREAT news!!!! The 2WW is awful, but hopefully it'll go fast for you! My DH & I had the same problem with BD. He was too tired for the last time I thought we should try. I too hope we have just ONE good swimmer (that's all all of us need, just one)!

Well, if you get a positive (I don't think Clomid causes false positives!) then I guess your Dr will want to do bloodwork. I'm so excited for you!!!

Hoping and praying for all of us (Pumpkin & Jennifer, how are things going???).

Dianne
