It's my first time too! I took Clomid 50mg on CD3 - 7 on 3/5. And it worked great for me! I also got an Ovidrel shot last night (CD15) and tested positive with the OPK today. So my lovely RE was right, and I will ovulate tomorrow! So excited!
Best of luck to you, and lots of baby dust!

I'm new too, but a little ahead of your cycle...
I too am new to this forum and am in my first cycle of Clomid. I took my last dose on Tuesday. I go for my u/s tomorrow morning to see how many follies there are. I have a somewhat unique situation in that I have a blocked right tube, so I'm SO hoping for many eggs on the left side!!!!
I'll be waiting as patiently as possible as you guys are!!!!! Baby dust to all! SO exciting!
Dianne, I can't wait to hear about your ultrasound results...good luck!!
Sydney...that is so awesome that things seem to be going so well for you so far. Keep me posted! I am so glad to talk to others going through the same thing as me. This is probably one of the most exciting/nerve racking things I have ever been through. I'm trying not to think about it too much but its hard! |

US results ~ I'm a little down today...
Hi Ladies!
We had our US today (day 12) and they say 2 follies (20 & 21) one on each side. The lining is a little thin (I'm so mad at myself for not asking how thick it is & she didn't offer it!) I'm a bit down for a few reasons. 1. I really thought there would be more than two (and really, I'm only thinking 1 is an option since my other tube is blocked) and 2. I've realized that everyone in my Dr's office is incompetent and I'm needing to look for a new Dr (even though they confirmed in the office that we're trying IC this cycle, they called to tell me when to take the Ovidrel - which I had already done at the Dr's original suggestion - and to schedule me for my IUI, which they knew I wasn't getting!). So I'm a little blue. I'm trying to remain positive that it only takes 1 and I have 1 on the correct side!I hope everyone else is doing well!!!! Next steps are bloodwork on Thursday to make sure I ovulated and then Monday, 4/6 pregnancy test!!!!! It was really tough for my hubby to give me the Ovidrel (we're both afraid of needles!) so I ended up having my neighbor who's a nurse help me out! Hopefully there isn't a next time, but if there is, he's ready to do it!!!! Sydney, we're very close with our schedules! I'm hoping the first time is a charm too!!!! 3 follies is GREAT! LML, you're not far behind us!!! Hopefully you too have many big follies being made!!!! Baby Dust to all! Dianne, don't feel blue! This is gonna freak you out, but it looks like we have similar experiences! You know, when I had my CD12 ultrasound, my biggest follie was only 18mm and my lining 5.4mm, which is thin. But my lovely RE assured me that both my lining and follies will grow, which they did when I did my CD15 ultrasound!
So don't be sad, I was really feeling down on CD12 too, but there's really still hope!! Will you be going back for another ultrasound on CD15? Stay positive!! ![]() ![]()

Sydney,
No, not scheduled to go back again. They told me to give the Ovidrel shot today, so we did. Hopefully that will work! It's so hard for me to accept that Drs do things differently for everyone because I want the Dr that does it right! I guess everyone is different. Thanks for your support!!!! I'm excited to hear how things go for you too! Dianne |

Dianne, so you get the shot today! That means you will ovulate in the next 24 - 36 hours! Don't be freaked out by the needle, I got DH to do it for me, I didn't even dare to look at it when he was doing it, and to my utter surprise, it was over under 5 seconds! Not a big deal at all!
![]() And yes, every doctor is different, as they have different personalities! To me it is very important to find one whom I'm comfortable with, and I rely on my instincts alot. The first RE that I was referred to, I haven't even seen her yet, but all the reviews about her online gave me a gut feeling that she was not the one for me. And after some research, I found my existing RE, whom I absolutely love. As we all know, fertility issues are really kinda personal, and she makes me feel hopeful. So I trust her alot. Good luck in finding another doctor! You can do some basic research just by Googling their names, and go with your instinct! I'm really excited too! Lots of BD these few days, and then the dreaded 2ww!! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sydney,
You're right, I should've gone with my gut with my Dr!!! She's not the one for me. I think I'm going to try another one in the area. I'm going to call her office Monday, explain the situation and make an appointment for after my pregnancy test with the hope that I won't miss a cycle due to the change. Yes, LOTS of BD over the next few days and then waiting....UGH!!! Hopefully it'll go fast though! ![]() Dianne |

Heres to hoping!!!
Diane, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling blue but its kinda nice that you only have 2 follies...I don't think you want more than twins if they both take! yikes. I'm a NICU nurse so multiples scare me. Thats great that your neighbor helped you out by giving you your shot.
Sydney, sounds like everything is still going great! Keep it up...I hope first time is the charm for you. As for me...starting to get some creamy CM already...hmm is that normal?? Maybe I will ovulate early...which would be nice. I am so afraid that I'm going to ovulate on CD 14 because I have to work dayshift (7a-7p) so I wouldn't be able to go for my US that day. I might just call out if my opk is positive the day before because I am so worried I will have too many follies and have quadruplets or something. Baby dust to you both! |

LML,
You're right, I'm terrified of multiples (I find I'm unlike many that I talk to who want multiples). I worry with multiples I would have pre-term labor and that really terrifies me. Thanks for the new look at my situation!!!! ![]() I too had creamy CM earlier this week (I think Wednesday, so that would be day 9). I think you'll be okay timing wise and I cannot wait to hear how many follies you have!!! Dianne |

Dianne and LML, are you girls on Clomid? I didn't seem to have any CM this time. Seems like Clomid dried it up or something. I'm using Pre-Seed. Hope it helps!
Haha, my DH is terrified when he heard that I have 3 follies too. But my RE who is also not a fan of multiples say we don't have to worry, if she thinks there is a high risk of multiples she will get us to abort that cycle. So I think if your RE thinks it's fine, it should be. Though I'm not opposed to twins! 1 pregnancy and finished with baby-making! ![]()

Hi Ladies.
Sydney, yes, I'm on Clomid. My CM is much less than normal, but I have had some. I'm not opposed to multiples, but I get nervous about the risks, that's all. My husband is already upset because the BD is "work" and "scheduled" instead of unplanned. I must admit, it takes the fun out of it, that's for sure! But hopefully that won't last too long and we'll be back ot our fun times! ![]() I'm just hoping the next few weeks go quickly!!! Dianne ![]() |
