Skyhope - good luck to you! Glad to hear you went through with it! Hopefully this is your month!

Just wondering....I took Clomid CD 6-10. I heard that it can delay ovulation - has this been anyone's experience? I'm not going for any ultrasounds, just monitoring ovulation via OPKs. Today is day 13, and usually I ovulatd around day 15-17. Do you think it will be later than that?

thinking of all you ladies.. hope things are going well. i'm not having as bad of a reaction to the meds this month & i've been planning a surprise party for my dad so that's been a blessing!!
snow white - it did delay ovulation for me, but only by a day or two so i can't really say it was the meds or just a later time. i think it effects everyone differently, but keep us posted.

OH - I had to laugh ladies b/c though the side effects have mostly been less this cycle - I spent one day last week bawling & pretty much everything, but it helped that I read message boards & kept reminding myself I wasn't crazy, it was the meds!! *sigh* I had to laugh had to after b/c otherwise I think I would have cried more!!!

Hey Everyone! How are you all doing this evening...Finished my 2nd round of Clomid on Monday night. Didn't really have any side effects either

I did wake up the other night feeling a hot flash but it was probably b/c we didn't have the air on in the bedroom and it was hot out. Going in tomorrow morning for my first ultrasound of this cycle. Hope my follicles have begun to grow

We are planning on doing an IUI this month and I was wondering...should we be

on our own or just wait until the IUI? I guess I should ask my RE tomorrow. Sending lots of baby dust to everyone!!!

snowwhite7473 - Thanks! My ovulation has been right on time while on Clomid (CD14) but it all depends I've heared different things! Good luck to you & keep us posted on your cycle.

neutronnancy- yay you are doing an IUI! My RE advised to abstain from BD three days before IUI but encouraged to BD after IUI to increase the chances. What cycle day are you on? Hopefully your follies have started growing nicely..I will be thinking of you!

Neutronnancy - they told us to stop BDing after day 13 and wait until the IUI (get a few days in there to build up some "good" sperm). Then we are to BD the night of the IUI and for the next two nights. I'm exhausted just thinking about it! LOL I'm not 25 anymore! : ) But hey...whatever it takes to get the job done. Skyhope and Snowwhite...thanks for the info. I totally forgot to ask my RE during my appt this morning. So my follicles are growing nicely. I had a 17.5, 15 and a 12 this morning. I got a prescription for Ovidrel and am waiting to hear the results of my blood work to let me know when to come in to get the shot. We are planning on doing the IUI this weekend

The nurse called me back and based on my blood work my RE wants me to come in and get the Ovidrel shot tomorrow morning. Question...why do I have to go back to the doctor to get the shot? Can't I just give it to myself since I filled the script and have the med at home? I think my doc just wants that $25 copay for the 5 minutes I will be there tomorrow

So much for thinking my ovulation would be delayed - I got my positive test today! Of course, I wasn't 100% sure (stupid things are so hard to read!), so I took two : ). Going tomorrow morning for my first IUI - excited and nervous at the same time!

Will be CD 16 for me (typical). Thought I might get my positive today, as I was having all the right signs - including mild cramping (which I never had before Clomid).

Skyhope - When are you testing? Any side effects from the IUI? The cycle is going fine for me. I was having hot flashes last week (which I haven't had before). I have been taking my temps every morning and according to those I might have ovulated on Tuesday (CD13) but who knows. We have been

every other day (recommended by the doc). I am also using Pre Seed. I used it before but not not regularly. I also decided no more OPK's. I don't trust those things

Glad everyone is doing well and it seems like we are all on the same cycle days! I propose a toast that we are all going to be in the "End of April/May 2010" due date buddy forum!!!

neutronnancy - you don't need to go to dr's office for Ovidrel shot - it's really easy to administer yourself and it doesnt hurt at all cuz the needle is so small. I got my first Ovidrel shot couple of cycles ago at the dr's office but that's only because I was there for my u/s and and had the shot with me anyway. Would this be your first Ovidrel? Maybe the nurse just wants to show you how to adminster. Looks like IUI will be on the 15th Aug for you - come join us in the Aug8-Aug15 IUI thread!

Jjlove08 - Our ovulation days are very close together - I ovulated Monday (CD14) day of my IUI. I really don't have any side effects from IUI - feel the same as with my previous CLOMID only cycles. Not sure what to make of it but maybe it's just too early to tell. Oh i did use Pre-seed last month. I really liked it but unfortunately i didn't get pregnant. Though I really like the way it feels plus it won't harm the spermies, yay! Sorry to hear about your hot flashes - I have those every time on clomid (usually first half of cycle only). Really hope this is our month!!! May baby soounds so awesome...right in time for Mother's day!

Skyhope- Yes they are close together if I actually ovulated then. I did have EWCM today. I really don't know and I'm trying not to think about it. So I will find out next week if I did ovulate and go from there. Yes, May does sound nice

I need a buddy too! I will start Clomid for the first time tonight! I will also add an injectible on day 9.

I have done IVF x 2 without success but have had my tube repaired and now have more options!

Any advice and success stories are always welcomed!
