Hi All,

Sorry I have not been on for a little while. Went to the Dr last Saturday and was told I had 3 good follies and to come back on Monday. Dr did not think I would have my LH surge by then. (ugh cd16 usually I ovulate CD15) So when I got my surge Sunday I called and left a message. Went Mon am and was told it was too late for IUI. I had already ovulated 2 of the 3 follies. He wished me luck and away I went.
So now I am in the middle of my 2ww. We BD the day of ovulation, night of and night after.
Crystal! Hope the clomid goes well for you.
Hope we have some this month!!

MaraG- So sorry about not having the IUI. Those eggs sometimes have a mind of their own! Good thing you decided to BD, maybe that will be enough!

dlinton - good luck with the Clomid! I started this month with 50mg, and didn't have side effects. Hopefully you won't either!

MaraG - you were smart to when you did! It may have been enough to do the trick. Remember, it only takes 1!

jjlove - do you go for a progesterone test next week to see if you ovulatated? do you track your temps too?

AFM, went yesterday morning for my first IUI - simple and painless. They said the sperm looked good! I go back in 10 days for progesterone test (I thought 7 days was standard?). My temp spiked this morning, so I'm optimistic I ovulated. Don't think I've had a problem ovulating....they've just not been "quality" ovulations before. My issue is usually with my progesterone being low - hence a short luteal phase. Hoping the Clomid helps with that.

Now the 2ww begins...good thing I'll be busy - hopefully the time will pass quickly!

Snowwhite - Yes, I go in for the progesterone test on Wednesday (CD21). The last few times on Clomid 150mg I have ovulated and the numbers were over 20. I have been tracking my temps this cycle and not doing the OPK's. The temps have been a little different from last cycle but I am not really worrying about it. I really hope your IUI was successful!! Sending baby dust your way!

AFM: We are BD every other day. Are any of you doing the same? My doc recommended every other day rather than everyday so the spermies have time to build back up. Any thoughts on this?

SarahDaisy: How are you doing? You're testing the 18th too, right? I think my period is starting so I think my wait is over...

The good news is that I am now 100% positive that I ovulated so Clomid is working for me! I think I'm going to call my doctor though and see if he wants me to stay on 50 for the next round or go up a dose. I was really confused since I ovulated so late (CD 24). Do you guys think a higher dose would help me ovulate in the right time frame? My OB said I should ovulate within 5 to 10 days of stopping the Clomid but I ovulated like 17 days after. I don't know if it's that big of a deal, really...

Hello Everyone!

I'm still kinda aggravated by the fact that I wrote this long newsy post at 2am the other morning, only to find out that I had never posted it! It's gone forever now!! So frustrating!

Anyway, I really feel like Aunt Flo is on her way. I don't want to take a pregnancy test, because the disappointment of seeing a negative is worse than starting my period, in my opinion. So, I'm going to wait it out, assuming that I'll get a visit from Aunt Flo any day now. If I don't have my period by Wednesday or Thursday, maybe I'll test then.

One good thing is that I'm hoping to do my first IUI next cycle! I've been waiting for this! Hopefully the sonogram day will not fall on a day that the office is closed like it did last month!

Anyone else testing anytime soon? Vacantsea, how are you? Aunt Flo or pregnancy test?

Snowwhite- was this your first IUI? I'm curious to know how this cycle goes for you. I have a shortened luteal phase too! I'm excited about my IUI next cycle.

Sarahdaisy - Did AF come today? Hopefully it didn't Keep us posted! I too maybe doing IUI next cycle if this doesn't work. I have an appoint with a new RE in a few weeks.

Definitely my period. What was spotting Sunday morning was a tsunami by the afternoon!

I'm a tad disappointed but honestly, I am still just really excited that I'm responding to the Clomid. It makes me feel so much better to know that all I needed was a little push.

My doctor bumped me up to 100mg in hopes it might help me ovulate sooner than CD 24. They want me to come in for another CD 21 progesterone check. Hopefully this time I'll have ovulated by that point, not 3 days later

I think we'll do the same thing this time. I'm trying Pre Seed instead of Mucinex this time though. I could not stand how that stuff made me smell! Yuck.

Have had tons of hot flashes and I have been laughing at nothing(its like im overtired and can't control it!)

sarahdiasy- sorry that you feel like AF is on her way. I started feeling PMS symptoms today as well (8pdiui) that makes me sad, Hopefully PG symptoms are similar to PMS! you get your +++. Keep us posted.

AFM today I'am 8dpiui. I'm over the half way mark. No real symptoms to speak of but today i started feeling as AF was on her way even though she is not technically due until the 24th.. I'm really negative today - for some reason have a feeling that this cycle is a bust. I really hope I'm wrong but so far my instincts have always been right - I never took a PG test in these 10 months of trying since i always "knew" that AF was on her way. Anyhu sorry didn't mean to be all negative just needed to vent! and good luck to all of you. May all of you get your really soon!

Skyhope...don't give up hope just yet. I took my first HPT last month after almost a year of TTC. I just couldn't take it anymore. Don't know if I will be able to hold out until the 31st when my RE told me to come back to test -that will be 15dpiui...hopefully AF won't show up before. I want this IUI to work so badly.

Crystal - its so funny how everyone feels differently on Clomid. I really didn't have any side effects. I think I was a bit more moody than normal but that could just be my wanting to be PG so bad. Hope your hot flashes go away soon! I used Pre-Seed and the softcups this month too for the first time. Used them two days before IUI and the night of and next day after IUI. Covered all possible chances -hopefully

Neutronnancy - I'm a teacher and gearing up for back-to-school - that's been keeping me VERY busy! LOL However, I agree...it's been a long 4 days! I go Monday for progesterone test. Temps are still high, so that's good. I'm interested to see what happens though, because by Monday I would "normally" be starting my period (10 DPO). I felt VERY bloated around ovulation, and for the next 2 days - much better now. When do you go back?

Skyhope - hang in there! We all have our "up" and "down" days.

Vacantsea - love the tsunami reference! Made me LOL! Good attitude you have though. Any response to the meds is a welcome response.

Sarahdaisy - yes, this was my first IUI (and Clomid cycle). If it doesn't get me a BFP, I at least hope the Clomid will help with the luteal phase/progesterone issue. They started me on 50mg, so if it doesn't help I guess they'll bump me up to 100mg. My luteal phase is usually 9-10 days.

jjlove - good luck with the progesterone test - tomorrow right?

Vacantsea - Thanks for the input. We did the everyday last time and that obviously didn't work so we took a new approach. It was hard to abstain when I knew the "o" was coming

AFM: Temps have been lower than last cycle but I am also testing a few hours earlier this round. The last few days my nipples have been a little sore and I have been bloated. I assume this is a post-o symptom. I am going on vacation next week for a few days. It will be a nice break from the 2WW. I am taking tampons with me--no HPT! I will wait until I am home if AF doesn't arrive. Tired of getting my hopes up. If AF does arrive then I will be seeing a RE for the first time and possibly doing IUI.

I never left. LOL My teaching job is full year long. I do camp over the summer so I have been teaching for the last two months. I don't have my own classroom but rather work for a company called Mad Science. I teach science to children. I teach from Pre-K all the way up until 6th. I used to teach pre-school but needed more of a challenge. I love that age but I felt that I spent more time tying shoelaces and zipping up jackets than teaching. I love my job and have been a "mad scientist" for 12 yrs. What grade do you teach? How long have you been there?
