Another Update....

Sooo I went in for my follicle scan today. My home OPK was a little darker. I had my husband look at it and brought it into the dr. to get a 3rd opinion. Don't want to get my hopes up for nothing. They both said it looks darker which means I should ovulate in the next 24 hours. My follicle scan showed 1 egg follicle at 1.96 mm or whatever they measure them by. The dr. said ideally they grow to about 2 and then drop. So it seems like it is about to happen. She asked if I wanted an HCG injection to make it drop today. I asked her what she thought since this is my first round of clomid. I don't want to make it drop early if it's still growing. (I don't even know if that matters). Anyway she agreed that this round we will let it happen "naturally" without the injection. Told me to babydance tonight (12 hours later) in hopes of the little swimmers being there waiting when the egg finally drops tonight or tomorrow -and continue everyother day until I get a BFP or my period.

I'm trying not to stress about it, but I really don't want to have to go on clomid again or do anything else. Its funny after my ultrasound I called the hubby to update him and hes like "gosh why does this have to be so much work?" I was like shut up - all you have to do is wait for my phone call with updates. I'm the one that is taking my temp everyday and going on clomid and having hot flashes and crying like a fool all the time. Not to mention not drinking or smoking and trying to eat healthy. He hasn't done anything except for listen to me complain and have sex alot. Life must be rough. haha. Anyway I hope to have good news for everyone (and me!) in a couple of weeks. I'm thinking of all of you every night - send me some and positive energy. Thank you all for being such an inspiration to me.

Its day 10 today and I went in for a follicle scan. Its so strange - I thought for sure stuff was happening on my left side - and the Dr. says it looks like my right will ovulate first. I have felt nothing on my right side at all. I haven't ovulated yet - so the Dr told me to start taking the home ovulation tests today and asked me to come back in on Tuesday for another follicle scan. She said if I haven't ovulated by then they will start me on more clomid. I asked if she meant next month and she said no - its a new procedure to have more than 1 round in the same month. Has anyone else had to do this yet??

I'm still excited...after trying so long I hadn't realized how I had kinda given up and lost hope. Its nice that clomid makes me feel like I do have hope. I'm just nervous about how I will feel if it dosen't. I know alot of you have had to wait alot longer than me. Its never easy. Thanks for all your thoughts and support. I hope to have a good update for everyone by Tuesday. Have a happy Labor day weekend! Wouldn't it be cool to conceive on labor day haha?!

I am new to this site. I am using clomid. At first I had slimmy yellowish mucus, so we started every other nite. Sunday I had some pain/tenderness on my left lower side (right tube was blocked and I had a procedure to have it cut/closed). I went online to research the pain (not really bad) and it stated that I could be Oing. I tried to do the cervix test, not successful. Saturday, I could feel it, but it was a little high, Sunday a little, yesterday I could not really feel it (maybe if I was stretch arm strong). I tried today to but unsuccessful. We will again tonight and every other night until shows up. If we get a , by then I will try the soft cups. I just went to the bathroom and tried checking, and it was lower and starting to feel a little firm. Should I or just wait for to show up?

Sam – Thanks for your well wishes.
Emily – Thanks, I didn’t try egg whites and I do not have a cold.
Mara – Good luck with the IUI today
Laura – Think of it as having 8months and 2wks left until you meet your baby

I'm no expert but it can't hurt to try right? )

Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! My IUI went well today, despite the odd dreams I had last night. DH went in and did his part, the sperm pre-wash had poor motility but after the wash, RE said they were "zippy" the quantity was good and he felt good about the "collection".

Earlier this evening I had some spotting and very slight cramps, which I would assume is normal after such a procedure. I can't wait for the 2ww to be over. Positive thoughts and hopefully it will be
to all and hope that we get our soon.

Cheers all!

Hi All,

We last nite and boobs were hurting yesterday, so it was a little uncomfortable.

It is so good Mara & Laura that we will all have our baby the same time next year.

The good thing is we will be able to stroll around with our babies, cuz it will be nice and warm.

I will send , but we will not need it.

How funny is this, I don't drink, but none of us will be drinking come New Year's Eve!

all newcomers!!

I just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing.

Skyhope - how are you??

Sams - so sorry! I wonder if I too might take a break soon.

Mara - So exciting about the IUI!! Hopefully a this month!

Emily - Totally understand about your DH (mine is the same) Don't give up if this isn't the month. Keep your hopes up and stay positive! Sending your way!

Loveshihtzu - good luck!!

AFM: I had my HSG procedure done today and my tubes are all clear. I have a folli ultrasound next week. I am hoping for good news this round. I'm getting kind of bummed that it is taking so long. My RE reminded me that I have only had 3 ovulated cycles so I should not be too disappointed; but it is hard not to.

Unhappy

So I went for my bw today. I go to a local doc for bw b/c my RE is about an hour away. They are checking my progesterone level. My RE told me to go one week after my OPK change. Today is cd 26. They looked at me like I was crazy. They said it was supposed to be done on cd 21. Anyone else with long cycles that have gone for progesterone bw?? Just wandering if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks guys

Hope you are all doing well... If I got prego this cycle my due date would be beginning of June. Wow, that would be amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Hope we all get our soon!

Thanks Jill - I complained to DH and he is better now. His first baby was an oops after knowing his gf for 1 month, so this is all new to him. He said he meant so much work for me. Haha

Anyway I got my first positive OPK yesterday and today...so fingers crossed. I found out yet another co-worker is prego today, due in May. I'm happy for her, but it still hurt when I heard it. I just want it to me me finally!

Anyway keep it up Jill - it will happen. There are too many successes out there - you're going to be one of them soon.

to everyone!!

Emily,

I know exactly how you feel. When I went to my OB the other day it was full of pregnant women. I was overcome with joy but also felt a bit sad. I have to keep reminding myself that so far I am fortunate. Things could be worse. At least we have a chance Let's all stay hopeful!!! I can't wait to meet my little angels one day!!!!!!!!!

My bubbies are pretty tender today and feeling a bit crampy. I test next Thursday....

How is everyone doing??

Emily- Thanks! I know it will happen for all of us in time.

AFM: I'm not doing very well emotionally this month. DH had a SA last week and he has a high count, but not all the swimmers are good. We are hoping to hear from the RE Monday or Tuesday. The nurse could not give me all the information until the RE reviewed. So, we are both feeling down! I do believe in my heart that it will happen for us but it is hard to stay positive all the time. I hope DH and I become stronger and not weaker from all of this. Will keep you posted after I hear from RE. Keep me in your thoughts

Sending baby dust to all of you!

jjlove08 - sorry been MIA fore a while - been extremely busy at work lately. Sorry to hear about your SH SA results. Actually my DH SA sounds very similar....he has good count but not so great motility and morphology. IUI can really help with these issues. Have you talked to your RE about that. Plz keep me posted..i will be thinking of you...

AFM I'm 9 dpiui today and already feel like AF is on her way. I know it's early but I just know my body..starting to loose hope for this month!

to all the ladies and good luck with your cycles!

Just checking in on everyone - I've been keeping myself busy & trying not to worry too much. haha. :-) Jill - hang in there!! I know it's hard & I'm glad DH is trying to understand. Mine does a pretty good job, then something happens & I get over emotional... argh, it's a cycle & I think we all just have to patient.. but that's never easy. My doc also believe IUI can be great for poor morph which we are dealing with too so sending baby dust your way!!
skyhope - don't lose hope! I'll keep fingers crossed!!
Laura - glad you ov'd!!
Emily - yay for postive opk & baby dancing..I had my positve OPK pretty early this month (natural cycle) so I was excited & surprised... glad DH was home so sending baby dust to everyone...
My temp shot up this morning so I'm thinking I ovulated last night??

Hi Everyone.
Just wanted to introduce myself. I am really enjoying reading all of yalls postings. I am 23, my husband is 24 and we have been trying to conceive for probably a year and a half now. I had an u/s done last month and everything looked fine. My husband had a semen analysis and everything looked fine there also. So this month I started on Clomid 50mg. I took it on days 4-8 and I am currently on cd 14. I have been experiencing some cramping.

I did an opk and got an LH surge for three days..so we have seriously been doing the baby dance.

How many months did some of you all do clomid before you did IUI?

Im hoping we dont get to this point and hoping for a this month. Im trying not to get my hopes but Im . It stinks when all your friends can pretty much look at their husbands and they are pregnant.

Any words of wisdom anyone wants to share? What is this I was reading about Mucinex? Would it hurt to take it after you have ovulated or should you just take it before?

Also, I just read in a previous post about not taking ovulation predicter tests too close to finishing clomid bc it will give u false readings..i started clomid on the 8th of September and started ovul. predictor tests on the 14th. on the 14th, 15th, and 16th i got watch looked to be an LH surge...could this have been a false positive?

Skyhope - So glad you wrote. I feel like I am on the verge of a meltdown. I had an ultrasound on Tuesday (CD15) and the RE confirmed the PCOS saw lots of follies but none of them were big enough for ovulation. So I am going back tomorrow (CD18) to see if any of them have grown. I will know more tomorrow after my appointment. I am hoping that one of them may have grown. He said there were a few possible ones! He also said that I could be ovulating later than I thought (especially since last time my cycle was 34 days). He did recommend IUI if it looks like I am going to ovulate to help our chances. He did say DH was borderline (like your DH) and recommended he see a urologist (he has that appt next month). We were both extremely down after hearing his results. We decided to share our struggles with our parents and they have been very supportive. We are worried that we might have to do IVF (which we can't do financially for a few years). Thanks for the support, I really need it right now! I hope things get better for the both of us and you get your this MONTH! Think positive even though it is hard.

Sams- thanks for the support (see above about what is going on with me--don't want to write it twice) I'm glad to have you gals that are going through the same issues. Good luck and sending babydust your way too!

herringtonusc! This is a great group! Are you seeing an OB/GYN or RE? So are they telling you, you have unexplained infertility? Are you having cycles? Sorry for all the questions just curious. We have been trying almost about a year. I went to the OB/GYN 9 months ago and went to an RE earlier this month. I wish you all the best and hope you get your soon! My words of wisdom would be: know that you are not the only one going through all of this and there are people here that understand and care. Keep us posted!

Thanks for your words of wisdom jjlove08: I am going to an obgyn. The first obgyn I went to pretty much shrugged it off so I switched. This obgyn says she doesnt think it was pcos bc i was having a cycle (although it would go from 29-40 days..ranging different every month)- but she gave me some provera since iwas at almost day 40 and induced a cycle and then I began the Clomid
