Red face new to this

Hi, I also started my first round of clomid days 3-7 on the 22 of september, after trying on our own for 2 years. The side effects have been hot flashes and dizzy but its great and worth it if it works. I go for blood work on the 10th to find out if I O'd so we will have to see what happened. I hope you dont mind adding one more person to your group

thanks

Tiffney

praying4babystaley- happy to hear your AF arrived so you can start clomid. the best thing to do is stay positive, that's all any of us can really do. i am waiting for progesterone results from friday. hope the news is good. getting impatient to take first pregnancy test. for sendingto everyone!...oh I do have to complain though..i can pick any lab location i want to have my blood drawn. so i picked the closest one to me. big mistake! i have gone there twice and these girls are drones and are rude. they have no compassion for no one. try striking up a conversation with them..yeah right. i am afraid of needles and they think because they use a small needle that it i shoulndt be afraid. fear is fear. no matter how silly it is to someone else. but i guess it looks silly for a 33 yr old woman to close her eyes and make funny noises while blood is being drawn. that was the only time i made her laugh. then it was over. i will be finding new lab location.

Tiffney--Hey I am pretty new to this group too It is great to have others to talk to! I will take clomid on days 5-9, and Tuesday is my day 5. I am just excited to start taking it. I am curious about the side effects, but like you said..it is definitely worth it. Keep us updated!!

kjune--Yes..some people can be so rude...they just totally overlook the fact that we are people and we DO have feelings! i would find a new lab too I hope your results are good news! and praying you will get your !!

stacy711--hey..sorry! i am not really sure myself. I will be on my first cycle of clomid, so I will be going over that process tomorrow with my nurse.

to all!

stacy - i had the same problem with clomid my first month. i missed my lh surge, if it happened at all. the following month i did have my lh surge & my whole cycle was much more "normal." are you being monitored at all? i had bad side effects with the prometrium & my dr wanted to possibly try a differ. med, but my dh and i decided to wait to do any more meds until after we meet with an RE. i have heard before that for a small number of women clomid can have the opposite effect and act more like birth control. i saw that not to scare you at all - for the majority it works as it should, but i had no idea about the differ. side effects people have & i appreciated being away of all of them so i just wanted to pass it on - hope that's ok. best positive thoughts for you!!

krissy - i so understand!! somewhat ignorantly said to me, "if you don't like having your blood drawn, how do you think you're going to have a baby" *sigh* i just try to keep the end in sight. i had another much older woman draw my blood once though & she was the biggest sweetheart, apologizing for how much blood they had to draw (it was about 18 tubes) and she had my mom come back to hold my hand so i could stay calm & still for the whole time. so kind hearted people do exist!!

how is everyone else? baby dust...

Hey everyone. This is the third day of taking clomid. So far, I have definitely felt the dizziness and some hot flashes. Tiffney, this is my first cycle too. If anyone has anything to share on what to expect, if anything, would be helpful How is everyone doing out there?

Unhappy support please

I am on my 4th day of clomid and so far I feel no different. My DR is not monitoring but I feel as if it isnt work. I will still continue to use it as long as the DR says. I want . I am sending to all of us. Would love to have a buddy to go through this with.

Cycle 2 update

So just to update everyone. I am on day 15 of my 2nd clomid cycle. I went in for an ultrasound on day 11 and 15 - still no dominant follicile. I had expected to ovulate on day 16 but I guess not this month. The Dr. asked me to keep taking the OPKs and come in again on Tuesday (day 19) for another ultrasound.

She said if this cycle is unsuccessful we will look at upping my dose to 100mg. Which she would prefer not to do because of the increased risk of multiples and because of the CM changes people often have to get IUIs for successful implantation which high doses of clomid.

I'm thinking of everyone and hoping you are all more successful than I have been so far! Babydust to all! More updates in about 2-3 weeks.
