firsrt clomid cycle... AF day one... buddy?!!
I'm still very new to this - so far, things look okay, so I'm on to my first round of clomid with this cycle... I just got my period this evening & would love a buddy to go through this with!! anyone around the same time?! baby dust...

TTC for almost two years now...  dog Mom to Belle  3 years ago - stopped preventing 2 years ago - decided to really start trying Oct 2008 - DH visit to urologist, low grade varicocele basic analysis looks okay, could affect getting pg?? Nov/Dec 2009 - stress about costs b/c insurance covers diagnosis but nothing else for fertility  Feb 2009 - visit to OBGYN, start testing for both of us March 2009 - DH great counts/motility, border morph, bloodwork for me with next cycle April 2009 -  bloodwork done, urologist not concerned about border morph... should we be?May 2009 - HSG clear, bloodwork normalJune 2009 - follow up, start medsJuly 2009 - meds, cycle day 39  August 2009 - meds, 32 day cycle September 2009 - no meds, LH surge seemed early... October 2009 -  November 2009  just over 5 weekstaking time to heal and possibly start IUI in the near future

IUI# 1: 4/18 = August IVF = canceled. Blood sugar levels (6.3) are too high. Cut carbs drastically; started Metformin and Fenugreek. Started BCPs on 8/17 Re-tested blood sugar on 8/19. Level = 5.8!! Start Lupron on 8/31. ER: 9/24 (7 eggs; 5 fertilized; 3 fertilized normally). Hooray for my three little babies! ET: 9/27 (3-day). Transferred 2 beautiful embryos. Embie # 3 frozen on Day 5 in "perfect hatchling blast" state. Yay for my little totsicle! 10/6: Unexpected emergency room visit for abdominal pains. Doctors don't know what the problem is, but in doing a bunch of testing, they turned up a !! HCG = 112!10/9: Official BETA #1 = 394! 10/12: BETA#2 = 1,775!! (WOW!) 10/15: U/S # 1 = TWO SACS!!!!!  10/26: U/S #2 = Two heartbeats!!!

Hi! I'm in too! Today is CD5 for me and I start clomid today through CD9. This is my first month and it's nerve-wracking, isn't it? Of course I'm hoping and
for a BFP this month. Aren't we all? I'm trying to keep in mind, though, that sometimes it takes months of fertility treatments to get a BFP. But wouldn't it be nice for it to work this month?? sigh.  We'll see, won't we? I'm excited that you started this thread, Sams! It would be nice to have a group of us all going through our cycle at relatively the same time. Especially being new like me and some of you others. Yeah! We're not alone! Has anyone had any clomid side effects yet? I'm hoping I don't get any. My good friend never got any negative side effects from it, but I've read things on here that don't sound fun.

TTC naturally since October 2006 April '09- finally went to fertility specialist, DH and I are tired of trying on our own! HSG done, no blockages! DH is completely healthy- Yeah! Cycle #1, June/July 6/23- Day 1 of first cycle doing fertility treatments. Plan is Clomid, ovidrel and IUI. 6/24- found out not doing IUI this cycle, due to office closed when sonogram is due!  Plan is clomid only and trying on our own, or "timed relations" as my nurse called it... hehe! 6/27-7/1, CD5-9, taking clomid 100mg, then timed  7/20- Cycle #2, July/August 7/21- CD1, Out of town for scheduled sonogram day, so no IUI again this month. 7/25-7/29- clomid 8/18- came Cycle #3, August/September 8/18- CD1 Plan is clomid, ovidrel and IUI this month! Yeah!

I just took my clomid this morning, cd3. I'm on 50mg.

So how is everyone doing? Any clomid side effects? I haven't had any, thank the Lord!! I'm on CD8, and just took my 4th dose of clomid. Today is my last day of taking clomid, then BD and pregnancy test! What a nerve racking process! I want updates!!

Hoping Everyone Gets 2 B Prego This Month
Well, Hello Everyone!!. I'm on CD 9 today and will start OPKing on 7/3/09.... so far I have no symptoms or side effects...Anyone else? But, when I took it back in april the pain was very severe
and it came with the hot flashes....Enough about me, how are you ladies doing?..We all need to start giving quicker update and response. Well it's bed time for me now... BABY TO ALL WE ALL GET

Nikkismommy- We are almost the exact same cycle day, yeah!! It's good to have a buddy. I've been having hotflashes! And I was wondering if it was from the clomid. I guess it is.
I feel very hopeful this month. I think I shouldn't be this hopeful, considering the odds and how I read about ladies on here that try month after month without success. I usually am an optimist, but I'm even surprising myself this time! Read the thread I started titled "Christmas?" I wrote it last night...

Hey Girls! Im on CD 5 (7/1/09) taking 100 mg clomid on CD 3-5. This is my second time to take clomid - the first time I took 50 mg and had two mature eggs, had a trigger shot and an iui but was unsuccessful. Yes I do have side effects of the clomid. I am VERY sensitive to meds so I have been dizzy, extremely tired, and having hot flashes. But its all good as long as I bet a BFP!
This cycle they are a little concerned b/c my CD 3 FSH level was high. So they said if the clomid and iui didnt work this cycle that we would have to be more aggressive next month due to the rising FSH level. Baby dust to all!

 To SarahDaisy and Babehope!!!!SarahDaisy...Yes, we almost have the same exact dates, spooky huh?...anyway, my hot flashes haven't started just yet. I just ordered my OPK test strips from ebay, so I can start testing on friday. Today is CD 10 and I feel good so far. Does anyone uses anything else along with clomid? Hope you ladies have a wonderful day!!!

I wasn't planning on using an OPK this cycle, but I think I'm going to anyway. You say you got yours on ebay? The least inexpensive the better, I say!
The other thing I'm planning on using this cycle is a personal lubricant called Pre-Seed. Ever heard of it? It is specially formulated to not harm sperm. I've never used it before, but since DH and I are trying at home this month, I have it to use. I had read on the internet that some types of moisturizers, KYjelly, etc, can harm sperm, so that's what motivated me to get it. The company has quite a few success stories on their website of couples that got pregnant using it! Babehopes!!

Hi ladies, can I join in?
I'm on CD4 on my third clomid cycle. I had my baseline u/s yesterday and everything looked good (no cysts). He also upped my dosage to 100mg this month. I hope this month will be it for all of us!

skyhope! I wish i could use the OPK - it would make it alot easier than trying to figure out when im ovulating on my own. I also forgot to add that at my baseline ultrasound Monday my cysts were gone and I had 8 follicles on each side!  to all!

I tried using them for months before the doctor finally figured out that my body was "tricking" the tests into thinking i was ovulating when i had already ovulated. Even if i went in on the first faint positive test. So now we just try to base it on me feeling it happening and then they do an ultrasound to confirm it or not.
