A friend of mines referred me to this site. Im sooooo lost. What should I be expecting? I'm new to all of this. I've known for some time that something was wrong with me, but my GYN never took me serious. So, I had to go some where else to seek help. Now, I have been diagnosis with PCOS...SUCKS! I took my first clomid pill last night. I feel fine, I felt a lil weird after I took the pill, but I think it was all in my mind. So yesterday was my cycle day 4 and I have to take it up until the 9th and see the doctor on the 11th for another ultrasound. I'm soooo confused. Why can't I be like my other friends and get pregnant everytime a man breaths on them...LOL!

I guess what I wanna know is what should I be expecting? I've gotten my HSG done and my tubes were open. All my bloodwork came back within normal range (Truly thanking God for that). But, when I got my 1st Transvaginal ultrasound they saw a bunch of "follices." They let me start the clomid even though my husband hasn't gotten is semen analysis done yet (I think he's scared). My boobies don't hurt, I'm not irritable I haven't had a hot flash yet...But it's only day one of the clomid. I'm excited, but very nervous. I'm 30 and I really don't want to have kids to late. So I'm just that we can have a child in the next few years.

When I took clomid, I was a raging lunatic! I was off the charts psychotic and then when I went off it, my hormones dropped and I was almost depressed.

Hang in there...it may be a roller coaster of emotions. Warn your husband because you might snap at him and he will not understand. We will!

OMG, really? He already thinks I'm crazy. Did it happen during the 1st round of clomid? Are you pregnant now?

Hi Princess! I recently finished my second round of 50mg Clomid and didn't have much of a reaction other than mood swings - and I mean insane mood swings. Luckily there weren't many of them.

This last round I did have hot flashes that would only last for a minute or two. Side effects didn't really appear for me until after a few days of use.

As far as starting you on Clomid before your husband has been tested.... the same thing happened to me. They didn't do semen analysis on DH until my cycle day 16.

I see that you are in PA - are you being seen at Penn Fertility?

I am on my second month on Clomid and all I have had a problem with is a few pimples..and I'm a little snappy. Its different for everyone from what I've read. Good luck

Yes...my raging hormones happened during both rounds of clomid. I am pregnant but not because of the clomid. We ended up doing a cycle of IVF last month.

I had a few very intense hot flashes and after I was finished, I got very emotional. But, I just kept to myself when I needed to. Sometimes, we just need to be emotional alone, you know?? I confided alot in my DH and learned that he was just as upset/nervous/confused. Like I said, these ladies here are amazing and that really really helps.

It sounds like you are off to a good start. I would seriously get that semen anyl. If something is wrong, then they can help you with IUI or medication for him. There is NO point in doing this to yourself if that is a hurdle to jump. My husband was nervous too, but after it was done, he said it made him feel like a team player in this whole thing.

I was confused about follicles too. It just means that you have lots of little areas that could possibly mature and become a "good eggs". My cycle, is unmonitored, meaning I had my initial and everything looked good so it is just clomid and BD for me.

I am on my 2nd round of clomid and I get the hot flashes mood swings and get very nauseous! But I just keep telling myself that it will be worth it! I hope the first round works for you!! Good Luck!! I find it kinda weird that they haven't done SA on your husband.....I would be asking about that! My husband's first time he got to do it at home which he was alot more comfortable with but now that we go the RE which is 2 hours away he has to do it at the clinic.....he's getting use to it...lol! He said its the least he could do! I would hope so! I'm the one with every tom **** and harry looking at me when I have to spread eagle for the ultrasounds and the IUI! much less when we do get have to go thru the joys of labor! lol.

I'm in tomorrow morning for my day 12 ultrasound with Dr Sondheimer. I had Dr Butts examine me when I got pregnant with my daughter in '06 - she seemed really sweet and caring.

Yeah, so far I like Dr. Butts she made me a little at ease about the situation. Please let me know how it goes for you. Well I have success with them. Is Penn Fertility the only place you've gone for treatment?
