I just got an LH surge for the first time 3 days ago, so I may have O'd on my own, but if I don't get a BFP this month my doctor is doing a clomid challenge test on me in January. What exactly does this test entail? Will I actually do a cycle of Clomid? Is there a US to make sure that I'm ovulating? I'm sort of confused. I've read really good things about Clomid, so I'm all for it if my doctor will give it to me.

Hi!! Good luck with the Clomid Challenge test. I work in an OB/GYN office and in th same boat you are. More than likely, you will started on Clomid 50mg (lowest dose) and check a 21 day progesterone to see if you have ovulated. There may be an u/s, depending on your doctor to see if you have a follicle. Good luck!!

Thanks so much for the info! i'm driving myself nuts trying to figure out whether or not I did indeed ovulate on my own this cycle. I read somewhere that progesterone is what causes the CM to return to the sticky/white phase after ovulation, and mine is definitely doing that, so I'm keeping my hopes up.

Although, I'm not entirely sure that I've ever had true EWCM. It definitely changes throughout my cycle, but I never have noticed any completely clear cm, although it does get kind of stretchy. Kind of worries me since Clomid sometimes causes hostile CM in the first place. Hopefully though, I'll get a BFP this month and not have to worry about it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
