no ovulation with clomid

what happens when you don't ovulate with clomid, do you just wait for AF or do they give you something to start AF???

Usually your period comes later. But sometimes you have to get meds to start AF. Did you have b/w done to tell you that you didn't ovulate? FYI...I ovulate late on Clomid...cd21 instead of the usual 14. My dr. told me thatI didn't ovulate when really I did.
I charted my temps and cm and went back in a week later for more b/w and they said I really did ovulate...just later than they've seen before. Good luck to you! to us all.

I was not ovulating before I started IF treatments so I started with Clomid but my body didn't even respond to that... when I would have late periods, they gave me Aygestin for a few days to bring it on and then my cycles became regular (finally!) Since clomid didn't work I moved on to injectibles which will probably be something your RE will offer to you if your body doesn't respond to Clomid. My RE told me that they usually have people try clomid for 4-6 cycles. Good luck!!! I used to think I would never ovulate but I eventually got there =)

Yes I had B/W and my progesterone was 1.5 which was better than the 0.5 that I had last month, my doctor called today and is going to give me prometrium to start AF, then double the clomid to 100 mg. I am not sure if I ovulated late I guess I should keep testing to see.

I hope to do the same I am on my first round of clomid 50mg days 2-6. And have being use the CBEFM. It has showed high fertility now for the past 8 days however no peak. I am on CD20 and usually ovulate on CD14. For the past 2 days I have beenhaving a lot of abdominal pain so hopefully I will O today or tomorrow. I go back tomorrow for BW? Should I go again later in my cycle?

YES, if you really think that you are ovulating late then let your doctor know that and for sure if your b/w comes back low and they say you didn't ovulate, then DEMAND another blood test a week or so later. I had to argue with my Dr. about it before she would agree and she was surprised and embarassed that she was wrong and I was write. You have the right to take control of your own body! Good luck to you!

I am still seeing an OBGYN, there are no RE's in my area. You have a right to be in charge of your body and know what is or isn't happening to it while on this drug. Sometimes, Dr.'s don't think that we'll be assertive, but usually when you are they give in. Good luck and to us all!

I didn't ovulate on clomid, although I am wondering if I just didn't ovulate when they expected me to...I am going to ask the next time I go in...I waited for AF to hit, but if it doesn't come within a reasonable amount of time I would call your RE and see what they can do for you! GOOD LUCK!

Whitjake - I would really see an RE...I had a friend that went to an OBGYN for 14 months and took clomid every month...when she went to see an RE they found that her tubes were blocked and all the clomid in the world wasn't going to work (and she ended up with several cysts) She had a laproscopy and is now doing IUI....your obgyn may know what they are doing but if they aren't specialized in this they may not be able to help you....hopefully there is one that is near you (we are about 45 minutes away from ours and it is a pain) GOOD LUCK and have a good trip!!!!

Thanks we plan on making it a very relaxing trip--we are going with the whole family sowe will have free babysitting!!!! That is always nice--we have a 4 year old son. There are several RE's right here in our city in fact my sister has gone through infertiltiy for about 5 years has been pergo 5 times and has 2 beautiful children so I will probably call an make an appointment with the same on she used which is only about 15minutes from our house. Thanks for all the well wishes--here they come right back to ya! Why is it that when you are TTC it seems like everyone you know is pregnant! One of my best friends has 2 little girls from IUI and was told her chances of getting pregnant on her on was only 5% guess what her youngest is 6 months old and she just found our she is 8 weeks pregnant!! Hopefully we can join that group soon.

Nurse called left message and said numbers were really good--did not leave actual number on message. She said the doc said I did ovulate however the OPK never showed positive. I am now CD 27 and have no signs on AF however I am wondering if the clomid is going to cause my cycle to be a bit longer???
