yeah i had major hot flashes and especially at night i would wake up sweating at least one if not two times a night and i was bloated like crazy..i took 50mg from may 13-17 and i took mine at nite and only had the hot flashes and then ovulation pain afterwards...good luck to you and everyone else as well..

Sorry ladies, this has nothing to do with my cycle but I'm very anxious and nervous....my husband and I are putting a bid in on a house of my dreams today, please, please, please say a quick prayer that everything goes allright!!

It sure doesn't help my hotflashes any to be this stressed, I think I had a huge one yesterday for about 45 minutes!!

As for me I am justing waiting I have not a symptom in the world so I am kinda bummed but I may see about being reffered to an RE when I go back to my doctor do they have to decide that or can I ask for it??

JJ- You can ask to be referred to an RE at any time. It looks like you have been on enough cycles of Clomid to move up. But hopefully this is your cycle and you won't have to!

My Gyn referred me to an RE because their practice was so busy with OB that they didn't feel I would get the attention I needed. So lucky for me, they referred me out. Other clinics who are $$$ hungry won't easily do that.

Let us know what you decide to do!

I go to an OBGYN that specializes in infertility. I have no insurance coverage for infertility but I do have medical insurance and by seeing an obgyn it is covered becauses he bills it under pcos or annovulatory cycles. I have to pay for the clomid and any other fert. drugs but the provera is covered.

thanks for the reply I am going to see how far my doc can go with all this if not I may know of a doc that can be a little more helpful I just don't think it worked this time and I am just very frustrated b/c it worked before on 50mg and now on 100mg nothing.

JJ, does your doc know why you miscarried the 2 previous times? I remember you replying to posts about progesterone but don't remember what you said. Did you have low or normal levels of progesterone when you were pregnant the other 2 times?

There was never any bw done to check but she says everything has been normal. I am going to talk with her when I go back and see what we can do is it normal to do an ultrasound check while on clomid cuz my doc doesn't they just do bw .

Here in the back country you can only see an OB/GYN after your 12th week of pregnancy through delivery of the child then you are tossed out of the practice. Coming from a place where I had a regular DR and an OB/GYN since I was a teen I had a little time adjusting to this. My regular DR here handles all the basic things that my GYN would of done in the past, like annuals and paps. Thankfully we have 1 RE in this Provence, she is also a OB/GYN and a surgeon, she must really like school, she has gone back 2 times after her first medical degree. Most of her services probably should not be covered under the Provincial plan but I think the head administrator doesn’t know that most of her patients are seeing her for help in fertility and not other medical problems.

I wonder if the cost between the two would be very different in a private setting. One advantage to a RE or a GYN who specialized in infertility is they should be able to get to the root of the problem quicker and be up to date on possible treatments and or options.

JJ- While on Clomid, my RE always did u/s on CD1 to determine if I had any left over cysts and to decide whether I could continue next cycle with the meds. Then another one starting on CD 10 and onward to check on growth of my follicles. Once they were big enough, I would trigger.

I only ask about the progesterone because I have read in quite a few signature lines of miscarriages happening due to low levels of progesterone and if there is some kind of deficiency, that could affect your ability to conceive too (short luteal phase, etc).

I am going in with a bunch of questions whenever comes I will go in for an exam for cysts but I have asked her about the prog before they have never given me any kind of numbers I just started asking recently. Thanks for all the replies!
