Can someone get pregnant in a year??? My sister is supposedly pregnant AGAIN this year. I think it is the 3rd or 4th time! It is just aggrivating for several reasons. number one, they are activly TTC but she does not have insurance because she can't afford it. She is also angry because she does not qualify for the state welfare to pay for it unless she cuts back her hours at work. What a crock!

Anyway, the other thing is that she seems to be getting pregnant and one thing or another happens and she "loses" it. Believe me, I felt VERY bad for her the first couple times...now I just kind of wonder how much of it is really true. i know it is bad of me.

I am getting ready to finalize my adoptions for my boys, and the motherhood thing is not an issue, but the thing that is driving me CRAZY is that I just hate being around her because she is having EVERY symptom to the most extreem imaginable! I have to hear how her "breasts hurt", or about morning sickness. She walks around ALL day holding her stomach and walking with it pooched out...I think this time she is about 3 weeks along. That is the other thing, when she tells people how far along she is, the baby seems to grow weeks at at time withing the course of an afternoon or evening depending on the length of the event.

Part of it is because I REALLY don't care about her nipples being sensitive, the other is that I am TIRED of listening to someone who can't even afford insurance to have basic medical attention continue to TRY to get pregnant. Grrrrr!! Sorry...I am just frustrated! Thanks for listening!

I am chiming in here and I hope you don't mind. I totally understand your frustration!! I would get sick to my stomach everytime I hear of someone (who had no business-of course my opinion) getting pregnant. I felt like we had a stable home, great marriage, just everything to offer a child and lo and behold someone got pregnant after 4 months of dating and they had only known each other for 4 months, he was still living at home...I mean I was very upset about hearing about it, although I was happy for our friend but it really did bother me. It seemed like I was always going to baby showers. Friends would have 2 and 3 children and all I wanted was 1 child. I too adopted my daughter and am so grateful, but I just thought I would let you know that I fully understand!!

It can make you crazy can't it? Several months ago our niece had an abortion because she broke up with her boyfriend. It's her senior year of high school, and she's on the cheerleading team.....and she just couldn't be a cheerleader with a prego belly..... Well, within 2 months of the abortion, she's BACK with the boyfriend and dropped out of school. I know, really, a baby shouldn't be born in that situation, but still......it's not easy to see and deal with in year 4 of TTC.

When you say 3 or 4 times this year, do you mean this calendar year or in the past 12 months? If it's all this year, I would be very inclined to disbelieve her. And from what you're saying about how she talks and behaves, I'm inclined to disbelieve her even if it's in the past 12 months. It sounds like she's just trying to get attention.. I would just try to ignore her.

I worked with a girl a while back who announced to us on her first day at work that she was pregnant. A couple days later, she was supposedly spotting so she went to the doctor. She came back about an hour later and told us that she'd been pregnant with twins, but lost one. She also said she'd had a D&C while she was out. If I had known then what I know now about D&C's I would have laughed in her face. She was seriously a pathological liar... she made crap up about everything.. after awhile it just became comical.

My sister in law is like that.

She got pregnant with her first baby on her honeymoon.But has had trouble with infertility ever since.

We got married and started TTC when my niece was about...9 months old.

Over these last ....well...9+ years now....it seems like every time we talk to them, or go visit she either thinks she's pregnant or she says she is pregnant (usually over a holiday) then she says she miscarried (because she took the holiday turkey out of the oven or squated down or whatever). At first I was so sorry for her and believed her...but when it was happening EVERY time we called or EVERY TIME we visited it just got rediculous and we couldn't believe a word of it...figuring she must be saying it to seek attention or to rub it in our faces that she could get pregnant and we couldn't. (there is definately a sibling rivarly between DH's sister and him for some reason...and it's just not getting any better).

One time about 2 years ago or so she told us that she was pregnant...then she told us that she had miscarried and that she could see two babies (in what had come out) and that she had brought it over to her mom's house to show her and then they brought it into the doctor for testing to see what had happened.

The last time we were out there..about a year ago I asked her about her twin pregnancy/miscarriage and what the results were from the testing and she acted all confused and told me she didn't know what I was talking about...it was then that we knew for sure that a lot of what she had been telling us over the years must have been lies.

Just like when we went out there right after we had bought our first house....MIRACULOUSLY....they (who were living with his parents for financial reasons...again).. said they had bought (or were making payments towards) this 5 acre piece of land that they were going to put a trailer on while they saved up to build their dream house on. Yet they had no legal documents drawn up and had supposedly been paying on it since around the time we bought our house..YEAH RIGHT!!!

I feel really babd for any real babies born to people like that. It always makes me wonder how twisted will thier upbringing be?!!??
