Hi, my husband was supposed to have surgery on his varicocele today. I was so excited, we went to the hospital, they checked him in and got him prepped. We sat in pre-op for a few hours, and right before they were supposed to take him back they took his temperature and said it was 101+. They told the anesthesiologist who talked to our doctor and they said, "Sorry, we can't do it today." And that was it - we left. We got home and took his temp and it was 99, almost normal. Now who knows when they will reschedule it for and now we have to wait even longer. I guess I am just feeling sorry for myself but I am so angry and upset. I guess I just needed to vent - no one out of my friends/family understand. And I am trying not to make my husband feel bad. Thanks for listening!

How frustrating! You'd think the temp would be one of the first things they'd do during the prep since it's one of the easiest! I'm so sorry you have to deal with this delay. I'm sure it's totally frustrating. It seems like with IF we just wait for one thing after another.

I hope you can get the surgery rescheduled very soon and that it goes well!

Sorry about your frustrating experience !! That's the crappy thing with IF, you get to be really good at waiting.
Hopefully they will get your DH in soon and get that part over with !!

Thanks ladies. It is really frustrating!!! We finally got rescheduled for two weeks from today. We were hoping for something sooner but at least it is only two weeks and not two months. Thanks again!!!
