Where to find donor sperm?

Hello All,

I just went through my first failed IVF cycle and am looking for some donor sperm for my next one. I am of indian ethnicity (from India) so I find it hard to find sperm here in the USA. Does anyone know of any good websites or companies that I can use to find donor sperm for my ethnicity? I have looked online but there doesn't seem to be much information. THANKS!

Genetics & IVF Institute - Donor Egg, Infertility, Pioneering Fertility Treatment , Genetics and ivf Institute in Fairfax Virginia is a good place to start. We did'nt use donor sperm but I know they have a good selection. Best of luck. They are close to the capital and surrounded by an international community.

I also can't answer to whether my bank would have a great selection regarding ethnicity, but I did have a great experience with them and recommend them whenever possible.

We used the San Diego branch of the Fertility Center of California. I worked with Kathleen there and had a wonderful experience.

They provide gender sorted spermies for a lot of their donors and they do photo matching for you too.

Good luck and I hope you're able to find a bank that has all you need.

We used California Cryobank. I just ran a check and 8 East Indians came up. I further selected black hair and brown eyes to get the 8.

We had a tough time picking our donor as my hubby is swedish, 6'6", light brown haired and medium blue eyes. The height and eye color was key for us so we settled on a 6'3" blue eyed donor. We did IVF with ICSI so that type of specimen was available. They were really professional, quick and will also do photo matching if needed!

Good luck ...

Their website is California Cryobank - The Leading Donor Sperm Bank

I was going to suggest california cryobank also.

I liked the fact that you get to see a baby photo, and hear his voice, see the handwriting, and see a the whole profile if you want to pay for it.

I thought it was reasonable also.

Good Luck!
