I'm wondering if any of you tried any of the "tricks" to help your embies implant. For example, I've heard that eating pineapple will help with implantation. I've also heard that drinking grape juice helps too.

Do any of you know of more implantation secrets?? What did you try? Did it work??

Also, how long were you on bed rest?

I ate pineapple, and used my juicer for I think the second time in it’s 15 year life to make juice out of the core. I heard about the grape juice too late. I take 2 baby aspirin a day to help with blood flow.

No bed rest, my Re’s think it can lower you chances as It’s an unnaturally state for a healthy woman. It may decrease blood flow to the uterus.

Can you just drink pineapple juice, or does it have to be fresh pineapple? Or can you buy canned?

I have never heard about the grape juice before, but I will buy some!

When should I start both of these?

The enzyme that is supposed to help is located mostly in the core, that’s why fresh is probably a bit better. If I could not get fresh I would go for canned.

I started the day of ET or the day after, I can’t remember.

Ok, I will get fresh then! I wish I could what you did and juice the core, but we are cycling OOT and will be staying in a hotel, so not possible. I don't own a juicer myself either, come to think it! Thank you

My clinic is a 5 hour drive in one direction, great pain. How long are your staying out of town after the transfer?

You could try asking the hotel to juice it for you. If they have a restaurant they often cater to special diets.

With my first cycle I did everything that you can think of.

Made a turkey dinner because fresh turkey is suppose to be good for implanation.

I ate one cup of fresh pineapple including the core everyday for 5 days.

I drank one cup of 100% grape juice everyday for 5 days.

I spent hundreds of dollars on accupuncture and massages.

This cycle, I didn't do any of those things and I got a BFP...just my story.

Our donor left a gift bag for us on the day of the ET. It contained a pineapple and grape juice! How cool! I don't really buy into this stuff but I also figured it couldn't hurt. So I had the pineapple and grape juice over 5 days. I also had turkey dinners a couple of meals.

Like I said, I don't really think it is responsible for my BFP but it is healthy so why not?

I didn't do any of this. Just rested on the day of transfer. That's it and I got my BFP.

mgmsrk-Our clinic is a 4.5 drive away and we'll be there for one week. I'll do the grape juice and fresh pineapple, it can't hurt!

Yolie-I did the same thing with my 2nd ivf with my own eggs-did a strict diet with lots of antioxidents, did tons of acup., yoga, and spent a fortune on all that stuff and that cycle ended up worse than my 1sr one where I didn't do any of that! So, this cycle, I haven't done anything differently than I usually do, except for cut caffeine and alcohol obvisously. But, I can handle the grape juice and pineapple since they are healthy, I like them, and easy to do! No more stressing myself out with running to acup. and yoga each 2x/week!

Kathelen-That is really funny that your donor knew about those things, where on earth did she ever hear about that?!! It definitely didn't hurt you!

Karz-I will do bedrest the day of and the day after transfer while in SC. I figure it can't hurt at all and I will need some veg time there in front of the tv and reading some good books I got!

Thank you all for your input. I've already had my grape juice today, and I'll indulge in some pineapple later. I'll have to wait until DH slices it up. I don't know if I'll get to have any turkey. Oh well!
