I was told I could have my bloodtest on May 2nd, but that's a Saturday and my OBGYN's office is closed and I'm not into driving over 2 hrs for bloodwork to be told I'm not PG, that would be awful. Not too sure when I can do a HPT, I'd assume anytime after the 2nd. I really want to wait as long as possible. I might just do the HPT on May 2nd and see what those results are then. What would you do? I'm not hopeful at all. One dominate follicle, 6 mil count, first try...doesn't sound good to me, but who knows. I'm just not lucky-ever. Besides, my cousin is pregnant, so that would be just too good to be true.

I am really tired today. Thinking it's the progesterone, want to go to bed already. Too early for any signs I would think (4DPIUI). I'm planning on staying offline tomorrow and do some spring cleaning to get my head straight.

Nighty night.
lisa-kev,

Thankyou so much for your support! Our little chats help me so much! I'm not lucky ever either so it our turn!!! I am in Michigan and going to IVF of Michigan. It has a good rep. As far as the home pregnancy test...I know I will check mine early! I can't help it! I think day 10 or 11. It doesn't actually always register though. My friend took a bunch of tests and all negitive. She thought there was something wrong with her like a cyst or something because she was having symptoms and she was 4 months pregnant!! Wow. Some women just have low levels in the beginning. The progestorone does make you so sleepy!! All I did was sleep on it. Are you taking shots or gel? I did shots last time and am supose to do gel this time. Tomorrow I will find out if my cycle is canceled or if I progressed and will keep going. It is so aweful not knowing! I will let you know what I find out tomorrow. Pray for me!

Hi! I'm taking the suppositories-talk about nasty! They've got me taking them twice a day and a pad/panty liner is needed. Apparently, the side-effects aren't supposed to be as intense with the suppositories. I told my husband the day I was talking them and he laughed when I told him it smells like peanuts, LOL. He replied, "Hon, I think you'd put butter up there if it were thought to make you pregnant". I thought that was cute.

Regarding taking a test early, I was told it's not encouraged because the LH from the trigger could still be in my system and it would show a false-positive. I too thought you could test day 10 or 11 but I guess that's for women who aren't drugged up like us.

One note: My cervix is very tender and slippery. I'm assuming it's just from the IUI
catheter/suppositories.

I've never been pregnant before and I'm going nuts analyzing everything.

I hope your workup shows progress today, I'll be thinking of you. Please post when you can.

Hi lisa-kev!
We had a huge storm and lost cable/internet access! It's back though! Well I didn't have much improvement...my eggs only grew 1mm bigger but my estrogen did go up! They now have trippled my dose and am going back Monday to see if there has been progress. I have had a lot of discomfort in my lower abdomen and am hoping that is good! I had to order more meds, already paid $1,300 and now $650 more and that only lasts me a day and a half!!!! I don't know what I will do if I need more!!! Tomorrow will be the day of bloom or gloom! That is hilarious what your husband said...but true too! How are you feeling? It is so hard to tell symptoms because the prostoserone tricks your body into thinking it is pregnant so how can you really tell!!!! So frusturating! I will let you know how tomorrow goes and keeped me updated on you!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I'm really sorry things are getting a slow start this cycle. I know how you must be feeling. All this time we thought it was DH with the issues, come to find out even though my workup came out fine, I still need help growing follicles and ovulating, so you do certainly have someone who can relate, and that's the best medicine. Fertility meds are insane! My hubby always thinks someone is out to get him and that doctors (especially RE's) pry on couples. That may be true, but we have to leave it up to the big man upstairs and the doctors. I hate not being in control of my own body. I will be praying for you. Yes, please do keep me posted.

We are in a heat wave this weekend. Not any storms to speak of like you mentioned, but today it's 95 degrees and feeling like July-August. I went to get some hanging baskets to take my mind of the 2WW today. I'm still not having any pregnancy symptoms to speak of, every time I feel a twinch or tiredness, I just chalk it up to the progesterone playing tricks. Today is 8 days past IUI, I'm tempted to test on Wednesday which will be the day after the 10-day mark, but really not decided. My nurse told me anything before 14 days is not recommended. I'm afraid of a false positive or worse yet, a BFN. I don't feel pregnant. This discomfort I'm feeling could just be my follicles shrinking down to size, who knows.

Take care and best of luck tomorrow

Hi lisa-kev!

Good news today! My follicles did grow! I have a 18mm,17mm, and 2 or 3 16's and a few smaller ones. I am thrilled! I have not got my instructions yet on weather or not to do another day of meds or to ovadril...will find out later! But I am excited after all this suspense it might be going somewhere!
My husband says the same thing! He gets really pissy about it and I'm like "what do you want me to do?" as if it is in my hands! Very frusturating. Day 8!!!! Your almost there! It is okay if you are not having pregnancy symptoms...the meds will make it almost impossiable to tell. I understand your temptation and worry about HPT. If you do I looked on-line for you to find the test that detects the lowest amount of HCG.
-1st response early result.....detects at 15-25 mIU/HCG.

-Clearblue Easy +/-....detects at 25 mIU/HCG

I also read that on day 10 if pregnant your level should be at about 25 mIU/HCG. So it is possiable not to register depending on day of implantation. But your levels should double every 24 hours if pregnant for retesting. Just thought! Let me know what you think! It's weird after you worry about one thing, then there is something else to worry about and so on. It never ends! I am praying and hoping so bad for you, you don't even know! I feel your stuggle on such a personal level and you have helped me get through this cycle and I don't know what I would have done without you!! I love talking to you it helps so much!

Hey girl! GREAT NEWS! Your nurse will more than likely call you with your bloodwork results and let you know when to trigger, that was my case. Even though your follicles are growing, the bloodwork has a lot to do with it as well. I triggered at 10-10:30 on that Thursday and was in at 9:30 that Saturday.

Today has been pretty rough for me. Last night, around midnight I was awakened with pain in my right side, I freaked and all night long I was up over analyzing that it's AF showing up. Today the pain is on my right and left, feels somewhat like ovulation pain. My cramps before AF are normally in the middle but these are just on the side. Sometimes really sharp on my right (where my follicle was). I think tomorrow AM i'll POAS, even though it's still early it'll be 10 DPIUI. I feel like it's going to be a big let down. I just have that feeling that this wasn't my time. If it were implantation, it wouldn't be on both sides, would it?

On another note, I called Xytex today and told Caroline that my donor only had 6 million after wash and she said "6 MILLION!?!" I said, yup. I told her that a friend of mine used Xytex as well and she was given the option to pay more for the best quality and that it was never offered to me. So, the form has been emailed to me and at their descression, they might send me my next sample for free. I hope I don't need it though.

Let me know when you go in for your IUI! Good luck with everything ((HUGS))

P.S. Oh and thanks for the pregnancy test specs. I have a couple Clear Blue Easy Digital's that came with the Digital Ovulation kits. If AF has not showed by Friday or Saturday, I'll run out and get the First Response.

Thanks lisa-kev!! I trigger tonight and go in Wed, at 1:30. After you POAS you better tell me!!! I am in suspense for you!! As far as the cramping it could be your ovaries shrinking, but cramping is also a sign of pregnancy. When I was preg. I got alot of weird feelings in my belly, but when I wasn't and got a bfn, I had cramping due to ovaries shrinking! I am for you!!!! I want this to work for you! I hope your feelings of it being unsuccessful are wrong! I and wish and !!!!!!! What did Caroline say about the count? Was it surprisingly low to her? Think positive thoughts, it will only do you good at this point, it's the laws of attraction!!!! I will check first thing on you tomorrow! Keep me posted!

Hey! I just got online and checked my gmail and noticed you sent me PM, but you have your settings set so you can't get PM's in return. I wasn't home much at all yesterday, had to take the cat to the groomer, did some shopping and by the time I got home, hubby says "let's go get pizza" and then I was so zonked I went to bed at 8:00. Anyway.......

That's great about you! So, you must have triggered last night. How did you make out with the Ovidrel, cake right? That's interesting that your RE wants you to come in the following day and mine had me wait in-between days. Funny how different RE's have different opinions. You have to tell me how your IUI went today when you get back. I wish you all the in the world!!! Please make sure they tell you the count. I'm curious to find out. As far as Caroline's reaction, yeah she did seem a bit surprised at the count, which kind of pissed me off. I did make sure to mention that I was never offered the option of paying $35 for the best count and if I were offered the option, surley I would have gone that route. We will see what happens with them.

As far as me, I couldn't resist and POAS this morning, of course a BFN like I thought, but it's still really early-today is 11DPIUI. I used what I had on-hand which was the Clear Blue Easy Digital. I'm still having bloating/sharp pains on my right, I consider them to be simular to ovulation pains. I pee at least 3 times a night, something I never do. But think that might be because I feel bloated. My BB's aren't as sore, I have a big fat pimple on my chin, something I always get before AF, so as much as I'm trying to stay positive, it's hard to have hope this cycle. I don't think I'll test again until Saturday, which is the end of my 2WW. AF should arrive any day now because today is CD 28.

Please do post when you have your IUI. I've said a little prayer for you ((HUGS))

I just called the andrology dept at Shady Grove and was told that my pre wash was only 10 million and Xytex has a 15 million pre wash guarentee. My post wash was just 6 million. I'm so upset! They had better refund or send my next sample for free!

lisa_kev, I was worried about you! I went in for my IUI today, and they saw via ultrasound that 2 eggs have dropped, a 16 and 17, but she said more could drop, sometimes it's not at the sametime. As far as sperm donor, there were 109 million, 50% mortility and 7-8 morpholigy. The morpholigy wasn't great but the counts were. I told my doctor about you and your donor count and she was shocked and said that is not normal from a donor. She said it was for a husband trying but not for screened donors. Will you use the same donor again? Keep me updated and I am for you

I told my doctor about you and your donor count and she was shocked and said that is not normal from a donor. She said it was for a husband trying but not for screened donors. Will you use the same donor again? Keep me updated and I am for you

Maybebaby1:

Sorry to have worried you ((HUGS)) Glad you had your IUI today and everything went smoothly. Your center had you do the ultrasound the day of IUI? Mine didn't even mention it the day of-it was in the room, but I didn't bring it up and I was so nervous anyhow. Last time my ultrasound was done was 2 days prior to the IUI, the morning of my trigger. Again, so interesting how RE's have different game plans.

Your post wash numbers look SO promising! I must admit, I'm jealous of those numbers and still a tiny bit upset at my donor situation. I just think that if my numbers were higher I'd have a better shot. I think we will still use the same donor, given that the donor will have vials available. When I placed my order I was told there were 25 unwashed and I've used one. Not sure how popular that donor is. Donor profile states that there have been pregnancies. We have some others on the back burner but my husband really prefers the donor we've picked. Because we've not told anyone than my mother and close friend we have thought long and hard about the donor looking as much like my husband as possible. If there aren't any more vials, then we have 2 others to consider.

Since I did have that this morning I'm going to wait and see what the next 3 days bring. Not going to test. I'm still having some twitches on my right and my BBS's are sore this afternoon. I just have that feeling that AF is on her way. Trying to stay positive, it's hard. I got an email from my cousin who's pregnant today and she told me the whole family now knows and went on and on. I've not answered her back yet......

I think you already mentioned this, but are you doing another IUI tomorrow? Some people do. If this doesn't work next cycle we will do two, 2 days in a row.

I'm assuming you're starting progesterone tomorrow? Let me know how your progress is and please keep in touch. Wouldn't it be great if we both had our this cycle? Get some rest!

Hi Lisa-kev,
I am for you!!! I don't know how you can resist not testing, I know I will...obsessively! I am still very hopeful for you! your beta might not be high enough to detect yet. My office didn't even give me a option of doing another insemination. I would have felt better if I did though. I am very tired and very crampy. I think it is from the ovodril shot and ovulation. On top of it I got a cold today When do you have your bldwrk done?

You'll feel tired and crampy for a few days. The progresterone should make you sleepy and bloated too, it did me at least. Are you taking it yet? Sorry you've got a cold, that sucks! I have allergies so I know your pain. Since Saturday it was 85-95 degrees and today it's 58 out and chance of rain. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I went into town today and bought 4 dollar tree tests, just did one when I got home and still on 12DPIUI. I would have gotten more but didn't have much cash on me. I don't think I'll have bloodwork done if I'm still testing negitive on Saturday. I really think AF is coming. I've been feeling that way for the past 8 or 10 days. Today I'm more crampy and if I'm going to get AF, she's due anytime-I'm thinking Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I just wish if she were coming, she'd come already so I can plan on having hubby with me on Sunday for CD3 bloodwork/ultrasound. The cramping and bloating is so uncomfortable and I'm a stomach sleeper and can't even sleep comfy on my stomach. All in all though, I really like the dollar tree tests and don't feel as guilty POAS as often. That one single pink like came up very fast and not even a hint of faint positive line, all white and very cold!!!

I hope you feel better soon! Get some rest
