Hi!
I am Naomi. I Am ttc #1 baby with my beautiful dh who is infertile due to chromosome translocation. We are in the AF section of cycle #3 of ttc with frozen donor sperm. I am 36 yrs old.

I have some questions:
-Anyone use Cryogenics Labs?

Our 1st cycle we used TSBC who I like. Our donor had a suoer crazy high post thaw count of 81 million- but his last vials of unwashed sold out the very week we were doing the paperwork to order! grr!

So we bought washed to do ICI because they said it would be fine. BFN.

Then I had to find a donor with unwashed and that was VERY hard to do. SO I finally found one Isould deal with at CLI (Cryogenics Lab Inc) but I did not ask about the count. Should I? We also bought 4 vials- to try 2 each cycle so we would have them all set.

So now we have 2 in storage and are planning on using them this cycle (in 3 wks when I ovulate)

SHould I check about the sperm count?
Also- how do I even know if it is good? I mean, it is so weird to get a vial and hope for the best.
But we have already paid for it.
TSBC was cool about telling me counts before buying.

I like this donor because we have a baby picture for him and he seems cute and all. sigh.

Is it possible we didn't conceive cause the counts are low or the sperm is messed up?

ALso- for those of you doing at home inseminaiton- when do you time your insems? I think we did ours too early both times. This time we did 6 hours and 20 hrs past +opk but I think Iovulated like38-48 hours past +opk.

Also- we used preseed both times but this time I think we won't.

Any adivce on anything?!

Naomi! I don't have any advice for you on the donor sperm, and I never did home insemination, but I did do IUIs and I always had them either 36 hours after triggering (hCG trigger, which was the day of +OPK) if we did one insemination, or 24 and 48 hours after trigger if we did b2b IUIs.

Thanks Jen! I think the 24 36 and 48 hour ones are a good idea. I think we did them too early so I am going to either do 24 and 36 or something like that.
What do you think is the best timing for 2? I may purchase a 3rd and do 24, 36 and 48- or should I just do 36 and 48?
