Has anyone done a mock cycle prior to any treatments? I would appreciate any feed back regarding this. As quite a few of us know, I had a chemical pregnancy. I have 2 frozens and RE is doing a mock cycle on me and a uterine biopsy, checking for integrins which can interfere with implantation. I will be moving on to my frozens in August if all goes well. If any one can share any info with me I would appreciate.

Firstly, I'm so sorry about your chemical pregnancy but glad that your RE is trying to find out what went wrong with your cycle.

I did a mock cycle prior to starting my DE cycle. It lasted for about 2 weeks and I was monitored to make sure I would respond accordingly to the meds. I think mock cycles vary from RE to RE. It seems on the DE board that some ladies didn't have to go through a mock cycle but others did.

This mock cycle is not to see how I respond, it is to monitor the uterine lining and test for integrins which on the cellular level can prevent implantation. I just think it really should of been done 1st. I have been throough 2 De cycles. When you had your mock cycle did they biopsy? Anyway, best of luck to you and thanks for responding.

When I did my mock cycle they did monitor the lining and also did an endometrial biopsy, which I think is pretty standard to check the lining and make sure everything looked ok before moving forward. I agree I think they should have done it before your donor cycle, but regardless, it is good they are doing it now. Let me know when they are doing your biopsy... you need to make sure and take like 5 motrin before your appt. It is very quick, but can be a bit painful. Don't want to scare you, just prepare you!
