Hello all...My name is Kim and I am 41 and have 3 beautiful children. They are 18, 18 and 21. I had my kids at a young age. I have been divorced for 11 years and met a great guy. Never thought I would have any more children till I met him. He is a little younger and never had children. We have been together a year and a half and now we would love to have a child. He would be such a wonderful father and I could not have asked for a better relationship. I had my tubes tied after my twins were born and they cannot be reversed...well they could...but my chances of conception are too low. We have chose the path of IVF using donor eggs. Sorry I don't know all the lingo yet...I am new to this forum. I was so excited to find this forum because I have felt so alone when it comes to discussing what I am going thru. I get so tired of hearing...."Why do you wanna start ALL over again"???? We so would love to have a child and those words are so hard to hear! I just started my mock cycle and I am on my 5th Lupron shot. All is going well. A little edgy at times but other than that...no problems. Shots are nothing....half the time I can't even feel them. I have a great shot giver...DH. I start Estrace on June 18th. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Have a great day.... Kim

Good Luck! I am a donor so I have experience with the Lupron. It's not too bad, right? I'm sure you'll get through it just fine... and it's not "starting all over" again, it's starting a new chapter!

Kim, Feel free to hop over to the main thread in the donor issues section... ivf w/ donor eggs & sperm. I am the 'list keeper' for all participants on that thread. It is a pretty fast moving thread, but we are a group of very knowledgeable, humorous, and very supportive bunch. People are in all stages from just picking a donor, to having their babies.

We'd love to have you join in.... good luck in this new chapter of your life! Why do people sometimes say the dumbest things!?!?!?! (that's the million dollar question!)
