Robin: I am so sorry you have to be in the azoospermia club but there are many of us here. If you haven't already checked it out there is an enormous thread about azoo in the male factor infertility section.

I know of one regular there who had several IUI's with DS before one took and some who got pregnant the first try. I believe the likelihood of getting pregnant with IUI is about the same as it is for those fertile norms out there in a given month if you are healthy (possibly less). I could be wrong so someone feel free to correct me.

I would recommend not counting on it working the first time 'round and be prepared to go for multiple cycles. Who knows, it could happen the first time and that would be awesome.

I hope to see you on the azoo thread, as you can see my DH is in the same boat. No cancer but there are several ladies on there whose DH's did have cancer and subsequent azoo.

Thanks for the welcome! I don't know if I'm looking in the wrong place, but I can't seem to find the other forum you were speaking of?

Robin: The thread that SFBay girl is talking about is the Azoospermia thread. When you come on first go to "Causes of Infertility" then "Male Factor Infertility" then "Azoospermia" you a lot of woman in the same boat over there....looking forward to you joining us.

To everyone on here that used DS...I was reading some of your posts and saw that you had IUI Sperm counts as high as 69 million. Just curious as to what sperm banks you were all using b/c my donor sperm count was only 10 million and from what I understood that was normal. Please let me know where you are getting these amazing samples!

I'm new here. My DH has had a VR that resulted in massive antibodies and poor motility (we joke that he is the quinessential male, even his sperm won't ask for directions!) We have been married 5 years now and I have 13y/o boy twins from a previous relationship and he has 2 sons. I feel almost gluttonous trying for an 'ours' but we really want one.

We tried 'usual' IUI 2 years ago but had no luck.
He recently suggested using a donor and he's fine with it. I'm a little weirded out by it. We tried donor ICI in September. DH is a doc so we did that in his clinic. We skipped last month and are trying Donor IUI this month, working on getting our timing right.

We're using Fairfax and really like them. DH has me taking 500 of metformin 2x daily. It is ripping my gut up. Next week is AF and the beginning of Clomid..I should be a right fun character to be around...sigh
